I dropped Oblivion a long time ago, and just came back to it and am completely overwhelmed by all the mods. Can someone point out the best mods to me?

Well, we got OOO of course, which changes the game dramatically; Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, The Elder Scrolls 4 Downloads, The Elder Scrolls 4 Huge Mods And Martigen's Monster Mod, which adds tons of new creatures to the game; Martigen's Monster Mod, The Elder Scrolls 4 Downloads, The Elder Scrolls 4 Huge Mods A personal favourite of mine, Thieves Arsenal . It adds some new thief quests, and some nice 'tools', such as rope arrows and a blackjack. (this requires OBSE: OBSE ) Thieves Arsenal Mission Zero: Odd Jobs - Planet Elder Scrolls

According to a certain source I saw, I read that the lucrative AF Level mod doesn't work with OOO. Please tell me this isn't true....

Its true, OOO has its own level system, so any other mod changing that too won't work with OOO.

OOO has its own PLAYER leveling mod? I understand that it already levels loot and monsters, but I didn't know it messed with PLAYER level.
