I downloaded some awesome mods the other day and they aren't working. They're those one file mods I like some much that all I have to do is copy and paste one file and that's it, but I guess that only worked for Half-Life 2 mods. Some of the one file mods I got are Lost Paladins of the Divines, Hoarfrost Castle, Ayleid Arrows, and Bravil Sea Domes. These all have one file in them and they don't work when I install them. There's about 10 more I got that aren't working. But here's the strange part. One of the one file mods I got does work. It's the Lost Spires mod. It had one file and it worked for me, so what about the others? Is it the website I got the mods from? If that's the case then how come I got the Lost Spires mod, which does work, from the same website as the ones that don't work? There's something else too. I have a mod called Weapons of the Fallen Heroes (WotFH) and when I go to the first part of the quest, I get to this boat and there's supposed to be the body of a fallen hero in the boat and people around the boat that were mourning over his death, except the only thing there is a boat, a shield, and three weapons. No bodies. The journal entry I got said there was bodies, but I saw none. There are a couple mods that are doing this same thing. I'm sure I put the right files in the right places. So what am I doing wrong with the one file mods and how come some of the features from a mod aren't showing up?

Before installing any mod or mods, you must update your Oblivion to v1.2 or v1.3 if I am not wrong, because most of the mods you've written are for updated Oblivion.

And suggest you to download mods from Oblivion's official mod download page or from FileFront's Oblivion site.

I have v1.3 of Oblivion. I think it's just that I'm doing something wrong or somethings not working right. And I've been downloading from Fileplanet. Could it be that the site has bad downloads then?

lol good one. I just use Fileplanet since it has the most mods. Is there another website that will have just as many mods or something?

I got them to work. It wasn't the site I was getting them off of I just didn't have the right program to install them correctly. (I didn't have 7-zip) Sorry n00b mistake.
