WIN 98 WIN XP WIN 2000 What is an OS

Only vote .IF you have an explanation to go along with it. I am running WIN 2000 and have no issues, but looking for opinions about others. I heard from some people XP is better?

XP Pro is better imo because most of the drivers are already installed and it's more stable (doesn't crash as much as 98)

FreeBSD ..yayyyy! Oh erm... >reads options again< I would also have to say xp. It really depends on what you use your os for though.

For gaming some claim 98 is the fastest, 2000 is the most stable, and xp is a mix of both speed and stability. I personally think xp is the best so far since sp1 fixed the couple of bugs that bothered me most and it runs all my games and apps no problems. 2000 did as well, but I had to spend alot more time tweaking and configuring it to set it up the way I liked it. Xp just seems to be a bigger time saver and it makes alot of features easier to use. And of course it has that compatability mode for older games which Ive never used, but like to know is there.

If you want the brutal honest truth though, dont ask us pc users, go and find a mac user and see what they have to say.

Unfortunately, gaming with Linux is still a bit frustrating. If a game comes with opengl and Linux support then your in business, unfortunately most dont. :(
