I just got back from seeing The Matrix Reloaded... It was pretty weird to say the least. The first movie was alot simpler than this one. The Matrix Reloaded starts off a few months after the first, and the hype surrounding it is misleading. A good deal of the movie takes place in Zion, the last human city, and these scenes are all very slow, save for the dance scene which leads to the scene of Neo and Trinity doing the nasty (something I could have done without). The action in the movie is excellent and the special effects are amazing as well as the stunts, but tgere are some points in the movie that just feel out of place in The Matrix world. Without being too specific, this film feels a lot more sci-fi than the last. It feels more Star Wars-like. Be that good or bad is up to you, but I personally didn't like it. The ending......sucked. It just sucked. I mean, 2 and a half hours and only a few things get resolved. When the 3rd movie comes out it'll have to spend the first hour cleaning up after it's predecessor. Bottom line is, it's good, but not as good as the first. It just feels like a different film. Maybe if the first had been more sci-fi-like this would've been a bit easier for me, but honestly the whole movie just felt strange. I liked X2 alot better. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Later.
im waiting anxiously to see it(matrix: reloaded). the 3rd movie, matrix: revolutions comes out this november...good thing we dont have to wait for a long period of time such as 4 years or something.
Yes that's true. I am glad they're not pulling a George Lucas on us.
Star Wars Episode 3 will be out in 2005... I will be able to join the marines by then... and die for my country... jeez George... hurry it up...
matrix2 coulda been better no lie the dance scene shoulda been left out and seems the fight scene with the lil asian guy was forced
but after halfway thru, the movie got really actionpact and really gd good
and speaking of things not matrixlike, i thought when ol link walked into his place and was gonna say 'wheres my pussy' was completely stupid and didnt have a place in matrix, shoulda left it on BET
Neo owns your pants and calls you Sally.
Seriously  And Morphious holds the rights to your socks, due to the badassery displayed with that katana. Cool stuff :D
But yeah, the acting was a bit sparse. It didn't really "flow", so much as it was "forcefed by burly men". I still liked it however, definatly worth the ticket price if you can get in. My advice: Earliest morning show. I went in opening day and found a nice seat in the center row at the 9:45am showing, in the middle of a huge city. The next showing? People were backed out the freaking door, and all the way around the lobby. Insanity.
Sgttallman, thge matrix reloaded is only half a movie,in revolutions it makes it all better again :)
yeah i think the matrix reloaded was partly filmed here in the bay area! west coast represent!
I thought the original matrix was way better. I kinda felt that since everone liked the first one, this was just something thrown togather to line there pockets. hopfully the new one will be better.
