What is your opinion of the RIAA and what they are doing? I think that they are going about it the wrong way. Rather then attacking their own customers they should take a more productive stance. Maybe they could set up their own music archive and charge monthly for unlimited downloads. I have downloaded music before, but it is not becuase I am a thief and do not want to pay for things, it is because I just wanted one song from a cd and did not want to pay $20 for it. By having some sort of system where I could have just downloaded it for a small fee I would not have downloaded it. There are places like this now, like Pressplay, why does the RIAA not pick up on the fact that it works?

I have an idea!, How about we all get together and sue the RIAA for every album or cd I have bought and had only a few good songs on it yet I paid 13.99-18.99 for it.If i do the the math that is roughly 8.00 a song and I have close to 3000 cd's so hmmmm....be back have to do the math.

the RIAA are a bunch pf worthless bastard who sue people that still buy cd's even though they download songs... They are too stupid to see that people still buy cds... and anyway... whats to say that if they shut down the download places that people wont rip songs of cd's and burn them onto a cd and copy those and sell em to their friends or what not... like i said a bunch of worthless bastards. another point, there are roughly 60 million people in the us and 70% of the us population downloads songs and copies cds ect.. are they going to sue everyone of those people. HELL NO... why even try.. a kinda of sacrificial lamb... scare tactics...? yeah right... worthless RIAA pieces of shit!

If I say my $.02 about the RIAA, I'd be banned. I'm that against them.

The industry brought the current state of affairs on themselves by consistently pumping out overpriced crap.People who buy a lot of cds like me and apparently Fifth Stooge(Dude,3000? )have been ripped off for years.I've noticed the price starting to drop recently though,so maybe they're getting the idea.

I laugh every time their site gets bumped off the net or defaced :). Anyone go there when that news hole was open? You could post any news you wanted. It was as funny as hell. People were posting stuff like encouraging people to screw their pets and it looked like the RIAA posted it! I didn't add anything myself, but I did my part to spread the link :).

Oh and one time someone loaded up their server with pirated music then put a download link on their homepage. Download pirated music of the RIAA's site FROM THEIR SERVER, funny stuff.

The RIAA doesent seem to understand that people arent gonna spent 18 bucks on a CD with 3 good songs, when they can buy a DVD for the same price or less. I surely dont see anyone starving on BET, MTV or VH1.
