Ty i love ATIs
I bought an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro about umm a month ago. I upgraded from my ATI 128 Rage Fury Pro, love the card :agreed:
:cya:
i cant help noticing that most people here have ati radeon cards are they much better than geforce ti cards?
Well.... according to ATI owners..... they are. I think it's all prefrence, such as pentium or "That Other Chip"... hehehe. I prefer Nvidia only because of their history to keep the drivers updated. ATI has had a poor history on that part. Nvidia has more OEM manufacturers than ATI , so offers more variables on prices and perks. I mean, how many Companys make ATI based cards? It's all personal prefrence.

ATI VS Nividia stats
ATI Speed:75% Texture quality:99.9% Overall:95%
Nividia Speed:99.9% Texture quality:40% Overall:80%
thats my take.:agreed:
[COLOR=burlywood]I think the ATI speed, at least in recent times, would be a bit higher than 75 percent. But that's just me. :D

I always hear this, but it's never been my experience. I've had an All In Wonder Radeon (32 meg), then a GeForce3 Ti 200, and then a 9700 Pro. With ATI, I've never had a problem with drivers, updates, or the frequency of their releases. My GeForce3 was rarely anything but a headache and I ran into a few relatively minor annoyances with nvidia's drivers. In my view, the ATI/problem-driver claim is an argument based off the old ATI cards and the old video card wars frame of thought, having little to do with the actual performance of ATI's newer cards and drivers. ATI used to be fairly mediocre with drivers but in the last couple of years they have proben themselves capable of making great drivers. Although not yet at an nvidia level I'd say that ATI has definately made significant advances.
congrats on your radeon 9700.I'm still stuck with my Geforce 2 mx 400 64 mb.:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(   :fistpunch: :fistpunch: :fistpunch: :fistpunch:
