The Windows version of the Movies Game is installed on my PC. In playing the actual game I don't see much of a difference between the Windows version and the Mac, but I will say this, the Windows version is faster, probably due to the fact that I'm running the Mac version using a processor that is half the recommended speed. Even so, it's nice to be able to touch buttons and they work right away as opposed to having to wait a few seconds for a response from the game.
My whole lot is filled with sets and I've got a slew of actors and extras to work with. I carefully placed the building and sets so they are right smack next to eachother, so I have more room for the same. I learned from my last experiences.
So, I've begun creating characters and creating some random scenes that interest me. I'm trying my best to stay away from scenes I've used before and realized I'm quickly running out of options. I wish the choice of scenes and actions were more flexible. Stunts and Effects should be arriving soon, I hope, this should give me more choices.
The working title is "The Return of Max." I don't mind revealing the title this time because I'm sure it will change.
Here's some idea of what my next project is about ...

It is inspired by a true incident.
Major editing job has kept me from doing work on "The Return of Max." I'm learning more and more about Final Cut Express. I exported a half-hour TV show as an AVI file, millions+ colors, best this, best that, and it came to a file that is 72GB! I can't burn something like that to DVD DL let alone keep it on the Hard Drive which is only 120GB. I don't have a Blue-Ray Burner so I had to delete that monster of a file and try for a file that's a lot smaller!
Now that the first TV show edit is done (I have two or three more to go) I can go back to fiddling around with "Max." Stunts and Effects still has not come in. My PC is behaving erratically, starting to get slower and slower no matter what I do - registry fixing, defragging, deleting programs I don't use - there's just no getting around the fact that something is seriously wrong and I have to expect some major problems in the near future. This is not good as I plan to use that PC to create the "Max" movie.
I've noticed some minor differences between the Mac version and the Windows version. The Mac does does have an icon in the middle of a set so you can pick up an actor and set him down to practice whatever genre you want him to practice; at least I did not notice this option. Otherwise they look andbehave more or less the same.
The Windows version however has hacks that allow one to expand the size of their studio lot, add weapons, add third-party sets, yes, you guys have been very busy. I can't find anything like these for the Mac version. I've been unable to find Stunts and Effects for the Mac, and I thought it was being released last month??? Anybody out there know any reasons for this???
Max project scrapped.
