There were 2 church shootings yesterday in my State. There were 5 dead. 4 church goers and 1 gun man. The story's below. Gunman Identified; Links In Church Shootings Probed - Denver News Story - KMGH Denver Why do people do this stuff? I find it sad how people feel so strong about there own religion that they kill somebody for it. What do you think?

I don't think it was about religion. I think that some assholes decided to shoot up two churches, because they didn't care anymore; about themselves or other people.

I wonder what has changed about our nation in the past 30 years that makes people do these things? This kind of stuff never happened back then, and in the past 10 or so years it happens once a month.

I guess that some people think that they're invincible and think that they can do whatever they want. I guess they just wanted to go shoot some people. I was glad that the security guard was there. I didn't know that churchs even had security guards. Especially one's with guns.

Check out this thread, it is kind of linked to this: http://forums.filefront.com/pub/341049-reasons-all-shootings-2.html

Also, I was surprised they had armed guards, but when you read on their past and the fact that they've got 10,000 members it makes sense lol I think the reason why this is increasing is Evolution! JK. It seems there are just too many people with disorders that are not getting help. Maybe because of the parents.

Media exposure. The more media exposure they give these nutjobs, the more likely another one will come along and think: "Hey, if I kill several people and myself, I'll go out with a famous bang".

New Life church has money. Lots of it. Whats ironic is that the community college I attend about 50 feet away from that place cant seem to afford toner for the schools printers. LOL.

The shooter went on a shooting spree cause he developed a hatred for Christians. The First place he shot up was a place he actually worked at. What's different about this shooting is that the shooter had no plans for killing himself after the shooting though he didn't care if he died though in the end result, he ended up killing himself after the Security Officer shot him 3 times. His mission at the second Church was to kill as many Christians as possible. This may sound cold or disturbing to most but I don't think he did a good job at his mission. He could of killed a lot more people if he didn't shoot himself after being shot by the Officer. Horrible event yes but I would say he failed his mission cause "as many as he can" was like 4 people which only leaves a microscopic wound on the face of Christianity.
