Nope, not by the so called monsterous Americans... Around 24 Iraqi children were gathered around a patrolling Humvee. Some say that the soldiers were handing out candy, although military officials deny this, after such occurances became favorite targets, even by using the children as bombers. This was not an angry group of 17 and 18 year olds, but 8 to 12 year olds interacting with the servicemen. What happened next is shocking. A suicide bomber charged the group, and blew himself up, killing the children and the servicemen. So far, 27 people are confirmed dead in the blast. Perhaps now some of the anti-war people will realize that these terrorists are not fighting to liberate Iraq from the Americans, just trying to kill as many people as they can. After all, what kind of liberator would kill his own people. Ever heard of a Free French soldier machinegunning French children to kill a German officer? Of course not. My question is where is the outrage among the leftists and others who protest this war? They called for the heads of those who tortured prisoners at Abu Ghraib, insist that Gitmo be turned into the Ritz Carlton, and, in the case of Congressman Dick Durban (unfortunatly, one of my congressional representatives) liken our soldiers and their actions to those of the Nazis, Pol Pot, and the Soviets in the gulags of Siberia. Well? Here is a link to the article in the Chicago Tribune. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-0507140194jul14,1,2244280.story?coll=chi-newsnationworld-hed&ctrack=1&cset=true

I believe the US army, and most other armies, calls such losses collateral damage.

Not even close. Main Entry: collateral damage Part of Speech: noun Definition: unintentional harm to persons or property as the result of military action That would mean that the attacker is American. How about innocent civilians that were murdered by a terrorist?

Missing the point of the thread, at least how I made it. People like you are yelling about when Americans kill civilians, yet I have yet to hear anything from anyone from you lot about this.
