This is just too odd, so I thought I should share it.
Over the course of the last year or so, there's been a strange, disturbingly fascinating story going on here in the Northwest; Severed Human feet in socks & athletic shoes keep washing ashore in British Columbia (Canada). 5 of them, all separately since last August.
What the hell is going on here? Serial killer? Some sicko in a mortuary? How many more feet will wash ashore in the coming months? When will the authorities state the obvious? (That it's clear the 5 severed feet are somehow related)
The basics of the case: -4 right feet -1 left foot (the latest one) -all in socks/sneakers -all of unknown origin (no DNA matches) -3 were men's feet -1 was a woman's foot (5th foot's gender not yet released) -they don't seem to have been obviously "cut" from torsos -all have washed ashore in different places (though close in geographic terms) -2 found in August '07 (on different days) -1 found February '08 -1 found May '08 -1 found June '08 -a disarticulated foot could theoretically float for up to 1,000 miles in a buoyant sneaker -a 6th foot washed ashore 2 days ago, but was a hoax
How much footwork will it take for Police to crack the case?
cbc.caA human foot was discovered partially submerged in the water near Westham Island in Ladner, B.C., Delta police said Monday.
It's the fifth human foot police have found in the province in less than a year.
"As far as it being linked to other partial remains found, we haven't dismissed that. We're considering all possibilities," Const. Sharlene Brooks told CBC News...
...Investigators said it's a left foot.
Four right feet, each wearing a sock and sneaker, have been discovered in the province since August.
A woman's right foot was found on the uninhabited Kirkland Island in the Fraser River in May, just a few kilometres from Westham Island where Delta police found the fifth foot Monday.
Three other men's right feet washed up in the Gulf Islands between Vancouver and Vancouver Island. In August, feet were discovered on Gabriola and Jedediah islands and, in February, another foot was found on Valdes Island.
B.C.'s chief coroner told CBC News Monday night that investigators have been unable to determine who the four right feet belonged to.
Terry Smith said DNA profiles have been completed on the feet but no matches have been made.
Looks like a serial murder/rapist with a foot fetish. Very interesting, ill post something more elaborate tommarow when Im not so tired. But hey anything is possible with people. Just take a look at Albert Fish. He was one crazy bastard.
Haha, serial killers.
Now that'd be something to buzz about. Canada might get some rep afterall!
But seriously, I doubt it has anything to do with a serial killer. It'd be super fascinating, if it turned out to be, however. Maybe an angry shoe salesman who knew how to deal with snobby customers?

You know all those ships whose crews mysteriously vanish, or even the entire ship vanishes without a trace? Like the Mary Celeste or the High Aim 6? Maybe these feet are all that remains, hideous clue to their gruesome fate? Perhaps the aliens who abducted them weren't particularly curious about human feet?
Or maybe they're just the remains of a grotesque and highly comical series of car accidents, like in those cartoons.
Albert Fish was a psychologist's dream.
Someone's going around mutilating cats in my neighbourhood. They found 2 more today.

I'd imagine they're from unwilling organ donors or something like that.
Maybe a savage Indian tribe could be murdering what they consider trespassers. They dump the body parts into the water, and they somehow float around from somewhere like Alaska or the Yukon into British Columbia? It's far-fetched, but it's a possibility. Maybe people in the Yukon/Alaska are cutting off their limbs due to frostbite? I don't know. Probably either a psychotic serial killer or someone who really has something against shoes. :D
/\ if its cold enough to get frostbite and you have running sneakers on, you probably need to rethink a few things.
Ryette;4394197But seriously, I doubt it has anything to do with a serial killer.
yeah, it was probably just 4 copy-cat killers, or maybe somebody bought the feet wholesale from the morgue for kicks and giggles.
Well considering they are all running shoes, it might be safe to say that they all where abducted along a jogging trail out in the middle of nowhere.
