Phoenix_22I am not sure if the purpose is really to improve security but rather to scare people from doing things

Fear. The best way to control people. Hitler and Stalin ran their countries though fear.

:nodding: exactly and hitler also used patriotism (towards Germany) to gain respect. :assimilate:

A new era of a new "red scare" kind of thing. Just replaced the letters into another "ism" - communism became terrorism. :uhoh:

You should see Heathrow! It was so funny, when we were getting off the plane they had people looking at your passports. So everyone opened it to the plage will all your info (pic, DoB e.t.c). I've got a new passport rrecentely and the new passports have the info page a page before the last one. I forgot about this so I just showed the back page. And nothing interesting is on the back page, just some emergency phone numbers! And they just let me straight through! Ha!

Its improved in some ways in Australia, I recently stepped of a plane to be bombarded and stripped of my mobile phone and have to walk through a scanner which looked for tracers of explosive materials or gases etc.
