MephistophelesGrowing more hemp for industrial usage? Good. Legalizing cannabis products in general (including marijuana/marihuana and hash)? That's a totally different story.

Yep a total different story. The Govt can't tax it and make billions of dollars from it, so it has to be illegal. Politics baby, politics.

Why shouldn't the government be able to tax marihuana and hashish if they were - a purely hypothetical case - legal? Like tobacco? So please, enlighten me :).

I think you misunderstood me... I meant since the Govt cannot presently tax it THAT is why it's illegal. Weed is illegal for political reasons, period. I could care less if weed ever becomes legal, but for a gods sake it should be decriminalized. This thread is about hemp products so lets not go any further since there are numerous posts about this.

ßeefI meant since the Govt cannot presently tax it THAT is why it's illegal.
Sorry, that doesn't make sense for me either . Obviously it cannot be taxed BECAUSE it is illegal. If it were legal it could be taxed.
This thread is about hemp products so lets not go any further since there are numerous posts about this.

OK, agreed :).

I'll tell you why hemp isnt legal. because william randolp hearst saw it as a threat to his paper business or whatever and so he made up a lot of propaganda about hemp and marijuana and how evil it is. at least thats what i heard.
