SpiderGoatDo you see Belgium on that graph? Ow, and who gave all those biochemical weapons to Saddam in the 1980's?

Actually no one "gave" Iraq chembio weapons. Only the materiels that could be used in producing them. In any case it was the Carter administration that started this nonsense. "Jimmuh Cahtuh" the Nobel Peace Prize winner for "decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development." The Reagan administration, as all incoming Republican adm do (for example see Richard Clark), kept Democrat holdovers and kept the stupid Democrat program going.

Of course we went to war with the wrong country. Should have focused on Al-Queda.

Not Iraq, thats for sure. They werent there before, but they seem to have arrived about the same time as... the American invasion. You cannot invade a country to stop terrorism [well Afghanistan maybe, but they're still there in large numbers]. Dont fight the ant with a rocket, or something like that, understand the analogy?

Nov.SmackDownI believe that when Bush gave the orders to invade Iraq he sincerely believed that we would uncover vast quantities of WMDs and their ingredients. It wasn't just the CIA that informed Bush that the evidence for a possible Iraqi nuclear threat was "...a slam-dunk". But British intelligence, not to mention Russian intelligence, was very firm in their assertion that all of their intelligence pointed toward the fact Saddam did indeed possess WMDs. And come to think of it, I'm not positive that Iraq didn't possess them at the time, but that's just me...

Very good study Smack.

Everyone here knows Iraq had WMDs, “unless they are blind to proven fact”. Now possibly the order about which President Bush played his hand, with the intelligence he had, is suspect. His team let him down….

Terrorist Group "Al Queda" isn't affliated with any single country --

Saddam had the time to sell/smuggle WMDs into Syria/Iran/Saudi Arabia before the U.S. invasion .....

zsh_xxSaddam had the time to sell/smuggle WMDs into Syria/Iran/Saudi Arabia before the U.S. invasion .....

Why would he do that?

So he'd rather lose, and score cheap diplomatic points off the US from his jail cell, than unleash his WMD on the attacking yankee infidel pig-dogs and, if not win, at least cause some horrific damage?

I think you give this guy too much credit...
