EON_MagicManThe authorities who deal with these sort of issues know whats best-- they deal with them all the time. If it means splitting the family up (which is extreme and would probably be temporary until the parents get the help THEY need), then that's what needs to be done. I know people hate hearing this, but you are only 14. The welfare of her and her siblings should really come before your relationship. Don't be selfish in making a decision like that.

just listen to this guy and donitz. you personaly, won't be able to do much. generaly older people don't like punk kids telling them they are wrong(especialy as screwed up as your GF's parent seem to be). trust me, I know.

czech speacial forcesnot cops or anything. they can pull the famiy apart and make it worse. get your parents to pick you up at her house or something and show them how bad it is.

Wrong again.

The police can make arrests if they have probable cause that child neglect or any other illegal activities are going on in the house. They can request a search warrant to go through the house to find any illicit substances, check living conditions, et cetera.

If arrests are made, those who were arrested will be put on trial for their crimes. If found innocent, the judge can do nothing more than make suggestions. If found guilty, the judge will sentence those convicted, and it will probably include family counseling.

Read No Matter How Loud I Shout, a non-fiction work about the Los Angeles juvenile justice system. Keeping children in neglecting families will end up in those kids leading terrible, often criminal lives.

Report it to the authorities. It is the job of the government to protect its people, that is exactly what they can do in this situation. And if anyone is going to report it to the police, its going to be his parents after they see what this family is like.

Großadmiral DönitzEver heard of such a thing as consulting family, friends, teachers, authorities (police etc.)? :uhm: Try to find a way out with words first befor you reach to such desperate actions (it's better to avoid them all together in my opinion, talking should *always* be of aid).

Well, I mean as a last resort of course. But if they are REALLY psycotic than prison is the safest place for her parents to be. Maybee you should just ask someone (preferably an adult) what to do about it. Just don't mention anyone you know, just jay "someone I know" everytime you say who it's about. And refuse to tell them who it is untill you've asked around a bit. And please make sure they aren't insane (her parents), most cases like that end like this: :ak3::tank:

And thats not very good because someone always dies. The cops up where I live shot a man 30 times who walked out of his house, with his gun in the air as he was going to surrender to the cops after he took his son hostage (divorce case, still relevent, however).

PS: Just don't do anything stupid.

I don't think you quite understand the picture-- they're neglectful, not psychotic. It won't end up like that I'm sure. It's not like there's police standoff or SWAT raid. They'd probably even call, and arrange a visit from social services, or social services will make a surprise visit.

Definately arrange for a visit from social services. From the sound of it, your girl friend's family needs help.

at this point you can only help her and be by her side. becuase you guys way to young to take any action at this time. but do talk to your school and her about it.
