Are bottle formular babies, healthier than Breast fed babies ? One study in denmark has shown that bottle fed babies are just as healthy, but, it did not include any doctors opinions.......... My view is a formular company likely payed for that study. What do you people think ?

Breast milk is generally better for infants because it includes things like antibodies which protect newborns from illness. I don't know that they've started sticking those things into formula (yet). ;)

Nature set up for mammals to breastfeed for a reason. Man needs to stop playing god.

This reminds me of an event over here in NY.

A mother was breastfeeding her baby in

Toys R Us

and the store got in trouble for violating her civil rights by telling her she couldn't breastfeed her baby in the store.

Why?

If a baby needs to eat, it needs to eat. I mean I can see how you might not want a suckling babe in a romantic restaurant, ruing the atmosphere. Private institutions should be able to ban breast-feeding on site (or at least dictate that it has to be done in the bathroom or whatever.) But out on the street or on the bus I don't see what the big deal is.

Why not? Don't look if it offends you. Besides, it keeps a baby happy and fed. Would you rather see (or look away from) some boobage attached to a relaxed woman, or hear the screams of a hungry baby?

Also keep in mind that babies do have opaque heads, they're going to be obscuring the nipple for the most part, giving as much "decency" as anyone in a bikini would have (for that individual breast they took out).

I'm not going to get into the whole health and nutrition thing as it's been well-covered already (formula might be optimized nutritionally, milk has natural chemicals that are good for both mother and child).

Breastmilk is the natural way to nourish the baby. Formulas is created by people, and while they may think they have the same nutrients there is a good chance that breast milk has beneficial properties that aren't understood by formula makers. I don't think it should be law that babies breast feed though.

breast feeding is totally natural thing.. why should people be told not to feed the baby when he or she's hungry? shove that taboo up yours.. :D i don't mind at all. i think it gets a smile on my face everytime i see someone feed the child (breast or formula..) because i know that a newborn has got someone that really cares for it, instead of.. well.. doing something that shouldn't be done.
