I forgot to mention that there are broke, ignorant white people in Jerkwater, America who have no f'ing clue about birth control and/or condom usage. It isn't just the city slums who lack carnal protection and education...

It does not take a genius to use one properly. If you don't know about how to use a rubber, then I assume you don't know what you are doing with that girl. Is it that hard for the makers to stick a pictorial description on the package?

There's this little place called China that likes to pretend that they're communist.

Ok, if it makes you feel better, it's Hajji talk.

Some packages do have them, others have info sheets.

It's easier said than done though, and the moment is lost when you unfold the info sheet to follow the instructions. Once you've done it a couple of times, it's easy enough. Or you just give up using the damn things, like me.

Bob L. ScrachyThat's one of the big problems with the executive branch. This has been a problem ever since Andrew Jackson started the winner takes all policy of appointing positions. Every time a new president gets elected he has to appoint thousands of people to various government positions. Being appointed doesn't have anything to do with qualifications, it has only to do with political ideology. That dumbass who was in charge of FEMA when Katrina wrecked Louisiana is a perfect example.
Unluckily the "winner-takes-it-all" is a common structure in American politics, hence there's effective so called two-party system. Civil servants should be put into office first by their professional competence, then by their party affiliation (as you can't close bias out) and there should be some restrictions on president's power of nominating government officials.
You're probably right; at any rate, there will be a strong 3rd party. I think a lot of the 16-20 year-olds who will be voting on the 2008 election have grown apart from the Democratic and the Repulican parties.

As long as the US political system is bound around the plurality system & the power of both major parties remain very strong (through campaign funding from enterprises & wealthy people and two-camp media), there won't be any significant third party around at national level. Sad but true.
