When Rome Took Britain, they took a majority of it, I.E, up to Hadrians Wall. So they made this a Country, granted a Roman one, but it was a country. All these little factions and little countries, they were all before the Roman Invasion. When they invaded they did away with that, and made the country. The Celts weren't happy so they fought, it wasn't an average Civil war. But it was between two factions, those against the Romans, and those allied wiht the Romans [Including the Romans themselves]. So if there were little countries what were they called? Britain, first became a country when the Romans invaded, then it was the Anglo-Saxons, but the Romans Colonised Britain fist, so it was in fact a country. The German Occupation of France was a one sided affair, the Germans came in and occupied. There wasn't really an ongoing war between them. Maybe a few French Resistance, but not on a big, battle size, scale. And Rome was a Faction in Britain, of course they didn't come from Britain, neither did the Anglo-Saxons, neither did anyone. Britain was an Island waiting to be taken and Named. Rome seized it, and it became a country.
Umm... Britian was probably the name of a province within the Roman Empire. I don't think it was a country at the time. Just like many people called the German states in Europe Germany, but it wasn't a unified country until like 1850...

When an empire occupies a region, that region becomes a territory, not a country. The same is so when an empire invades and occupies a country. It becomes a territory. Only some of the Celtic tribes joined forces against the Romans. Multiple countries joining forces for a common military goal is called an alliance, not a country. And lets look at some synonyms for 'faction'. I see group, section, party, splinter group, bloc, division... no country. A country can be split into factions. A faction generally refers to a group of a single institution. For example, the Red Army in Russia was a faction in a single country. The Conservative Party in Britain is a faction of the government. Rome, however, was not a faction of Britain. Britain wasn't even a single institution to be a faction of. It was just a place. I don't know why I bother sometimes. Whatever. I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually, you seem intelligent enough. I'm going to bed.
You Win, I'm going to bed too,. Btw: Did you study History at any level? lol.
I have, it's my best subject :nodding:
*I know you wern't talking to me, but meh*
I do it at GCSE..... I got 95% in the test!!!!!! It was on the fall of the Tsar, thrilling! And now ironically, we're moving on to the Russian civil war....
Civil war in the USA between Democrats( Socialist Commies ) and Republicans ( Capitalist Pigs)
If there is a war in the United States between any group, it will be the people against the government or the south against Mexico. I heard that racism is starting to pick up in the south on Yahoo, with more hate crimes against Mexicans. This could start mass riots and soon the south would be fighting the government for not doing enough to get rid of the Mexicans.
Since Mexico is part of the US...
Edit: But yeah, I get your point. I even have some friends of 'Hispanic Decent' that don't like all the Mexican immigrants showing up around here.
Not a chance of a civil war in Australia :) I wouldn't know what it would be about if we had one.
