Seeing as tomorrow is the sixtieth anniversary of D-Day I thought we should have a thread to discuss and remember it.
For those who dont know:It was a huge invasion that spanned 5 French beachs, each with many losses. Many ordinary people died that day, people with families and friends. They all died so that others could live in peace. Their actions have not been forgotten and I doubt they ever will be.
General George S. Patton said "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." Maybe he is right but however you feel the people who participated in this invasion should be remembered.

:bows: For those who gave their lifes for our freedom.
...and for those who still do and will.
It is June 6 here.
God bless those who give their lives to defend freedom. People only die in a physical sense, we shall remember them in our hearts.
*remembering* . . . . *moving on*
*Moment of Silence*
Bless the valiant men who stormed those beaches, not thinking of themselves, but thinking of freeing the world from the evils of Hitler.
To Them.
Let us not forget all of the men who fought all around the world, to free the oppressed of facism, and imperialism.
