What do you wish the new president Obama to change? Do you think he will achieve it? Will he master the current financial crisis and get a chance for a new term?

What is your outlook on his presidency?

financial crisis?stop building weapons in mass productions i guess. one standard missile costs 1.5 million to make with an avergae of 3 shot each day....go Cod4 campaign facts:p still at least 2 nukes are made a day...another 3 million each.... anyway...

He is not magical in my view of course. maybe he will achieve better or worse difficult to tell. His promises, well some may be kept however like most elections they are fake. I think he will be above average but well nothing special... Roosevelt needs to come back from the dead:lol:

Let's see, I'd like:

Election Reform Fair Tax Reduced Federal Powers Decriminalization of Drugs Reduction of Alcohol Age to 16 with parental consent, and 18 without. No more bowing to the whims of "community activists." More Libertarian policies.

Of course, I doubt any of that will happen. At all. It'll just be the same old shit, with a difference face.

Agreed.

I hope that he cuts taxes across the board, not just on lower incomes like he said in the campaign. He also needs to cut corporate tax. He needs to do this as soon as possible. If he wants to boost the economy, this is the best way to do it.

However, I feel that the likelihood of this happening is slim. It goes against everything the Democratic party stands for.

All of those things would have to be passed by congress. Congress is still made up of stubborn old people, so good luck.

And it has been made very unlikely by bailouts and wars that can only be funded with increased taxes.

Why would lower taxes for everyone increase the tax income we have? We need to raise money somehow, and the best way to do that is by taxation. The most profitable people to tax are the rich, and the poor masses are the people who stimulate the economy most (since they spend all the money they get).
