FOXNews.com - Churchill Ordered UFO Coverup, Documents Suggest

BBC News - Churchill ordered UFO cover-up, National Archives show

After the mass panic on the US eastern seabord following the Orson Wells radio show of "The War Of The Worlds" I can understand why he would be worried. especially during wartime.

IIRC starting this year the MoD announced they will no longer keep any UFO reports and in the future they will not be archived, they will be destroyed.

I read about this earlier. You can download some of the documents here: UFO files | Newly released files from The National Archives The pilots who saw the UFO during WW2 apparently took pictures, but they aren't included in the downloadable documents. Maybe they were lost at some point.

Probably screwed up in storage. Used to control flooding in the basement.

It would have been interesting to have those pictures but we can't have everything.

Interesting stuff. I've just been reading about the Blue Streak missile test stuff, very strange.

Personally I believe a lot of this stuff is down to secret military testing, infact I find that more interesting. Take the recent Norwegian spiral incident. Apparently that was down to failed Russian missile tests, but it all seems rather odd.

Wow, way to be specific.

Seriously, could you explain this a bit more?

Considering the thread title has Churchill and "Aliens" in, it's pretty obvious he means the one from the series just gone with Churchill and covering up the Daleks in it.

Ah. I was trying to make a bit of a joke about "Hey, that's just like the Dr. Who episode with the Daleks!", which seems like it came from the Office of Redundancy Department Office.;)
