This topic isn't a happy one at all, but I'm curious.

I am currently going through a divorce and it's honestly the worst pain in the world.

If you have ever been through it, how have you coped? What thoughts have gotten you through those dark times?

I appreciate any answers I get for this thread.

Divorce should not be legal. I think if you've made the decision to marry someone, you have to live with the decision, just like abortion. You have made the commitment to that person, and just cause you 'change your mind' doesn't mean you can leave them. Look at Hollywood marriages, its not a case of if its a case of 'when' and that just goes to show how pathetic we all are with commiting. When it comes down to violence and abuse, that'd completely different, and adultery.

So if someone makes the choice to be with someone and finds out they're a mass murderer or rapist and starts to abuse them, they made the choice so they HAVE to be harmed Theres a line to be drawn, and mental harm is no different than physical.

You are out of your mind and know nothing about this subject. I suggest you go back to Atari. This is not about how a child feels about adult topics such as divorce.

dysfunctional, How long have you been together? Any financial loss involved?

Our two year anniversary was April 9th. She left on the 28th of April.

No financial loss that I'm aware of yet. I need to get a day off of work and go around taking care of loose ends; i.e. bank stuff, getting a new car, stuff like that.

The biggest loss is emotionally. At this point I'm so beat down and tired that all I can do is stare at the wall.
