What do you think. Do you think that what we do on earth matters after we die? Do you believe in afterlife? Heaven? Hell? Do you think that your actions now have no consequences? Let me hear it.
there are 200 simalar threads.
and I don't care what tyou think, I am not saying I think there si heaven and hell, I am saying a know there is heaven and hell.
and yes, what you do matters
I also "know" there is a heaven and hell. Just wondering what others think. Also, I think that what we do matters in the long run. It is important to live a good life. What you do now can literally change the face of the earth. Einstein probably never thought that his inventions (nuclear weaponry) would eventually be powerful enough to destroy this earth. Some would say that what we are doing today with such things as biological engineering are just as powerful. "What you do right now, is what makes a difference." Quote from Black Hawk Down.
How do you guys 'know'? Been there? Seen it? Nope....
well done nkenobi nice too see someone who has some faith nowadays.
Yes there is a heaven & hell and yes everything you do affects someone in some way. Think ripples in water.
EDIT: It's what we call faith.
AlHow do you guys 'know'? Been there? Seen it? Nope....
acualy yes I have
Nkenobiacualy yes I have
OK. Lemme get this straight. You've been to Heaven?
I appreciate the fact that people make a show of faith too. It seems that too often when asked about their faith, christians mumble under their breath what they are, as if they are ashamed. What can you call that? Cowardice. And of course there is a heaven and hell Al. What would we be living for if there isn't? It seems that those who know for sure where they are going are either most eager to embrace the idea of heaven, or the most anxious about going to hell.
i like how you can dismiss all other (gillion bazillion) religions, simply because you were raised a christian (assumption). I'm an athiest. I can't force myself to reject logic and reason to blindly follow any religion (and i have done quite a bit of research). i don't buy any of it.
so to me, your life matters only if you can do something to leave your mark on the world and influence future generations.
I am as much of an athiest as you guys, but as I have said before, things have happened.
you notice why christians ignore other religeons more than any other, cause we have see the truth, my mom has spoken with God, my friends mom has been risen from the dead, my sister was cured of peanut alergies by a prayer.
