I was born a Catholic, but ever since I was 10, I had no faith in god. I don't believe in the Darwin's theory of evolution, in "The Creation", but in something different. I believe that the earth was once very hot, so hot that nothing could live, full of lava, and molten rock. I believe that the mixture of ashes and dust caused cells to form, and more cells formed, and so forth. Finally an embryo formed, causing human life, and he/she lived such as a caveman. Then finally another embryo was formed and so forth, and finally the group of people figured out how to cause human life (sex). So the combination of cells finally formed something else, and it just continued forming things until they figured out how to reproduce. But no where did religion come in. I believe that we created god, and he didn't create us. Aparently this concerns my friends and family, because they see it as everyone should have a god. So can someone give me physical evidence of "His" existence? Don't say the bible because there is no proof that he wrote it, or he said it. Don't say he's all around because if I can't see him, he's not there. So am I missing something? Or are there others like me?

I belive you aren't entitled to post here with an attitude like that. normally I have a very calm temperment over these things, but this really sets me off. Go post in the "faith in God" thread if you must announce your pathetic opinion.

it's not attitude, it's opinion, and I believe he can post his opinion. on that score, my opinion, not yours, counts.

normally I have a very calm temperment over these things, but this really sets me off.

someone with an alternative point of view 'sets you off'?? that's pure intolerance.

Go post in the "faith in God" thread if you must announce your pathetic opinion.

excuse me, but fuck you. don't belittle other forum members. i don't agree with what he/she says, but i'm willing to accept his/her beliefs. if you can't, if it's 'pathetic' to you, then bring something to the table other than insults.

Thanks AzH, I don't fully understand you though (TheMirage).

AzHsomeone with an alternative point of view 'sets you off'?? that's pure intolerance.
I do believe in what AzH is saying, because if I'm not mistaken, people are entitled to their opinions. But you, you say you have a calm temperment over these kind of things, but you just "blew up" towards me. I don't agree with Christianity, or Judaism, but I respect their beliefs none the less. I've never persecuted someone because they had different thoughts than myself. Again, you tell me that I have pathetic beliefs, or opinions, why you yourself have no respect for others. Maybe it's you who has the pathetic beliefs or thoughts.
excuse me, but fuck you. don't belittle other forum members. i don't agree with what he/she says, but i'm willing to accept his/her beliefs. if you can't, if it's 'pathetic' to you, then bring something to the table other than insults.

Right on dude, and if you care I'm a guy.

saying "your so-called God" is an attitude.

again, my "so-called God"? no fuck that will set me off. If you think that intolerance, oh well.

1st part, you tell ME not to belittle other forum members, when I'm usually the last one to do it, and other members are doing it ten times a day?!

2nd part, I'll accept thier belifes to, but I will not accept them attacking mine like this.

nobody attacked you. not directly or indirectly. i wouls also say 'your "so called" god' because i don't believe the 'being' that you worship is worthy of the title 'God'.

i've posted too often in this forum to repeat myself. if you care, search for some of my posts. you'll find them about 4 months ago.

Right on dude, and if you care I'm a guy.

i thought so, but you never can tell these days. trust me on that. ;)

first off I am a Catholic also. Could u believe today that something like a car could assemble itself in your drveway or street over night? Could all the parts just majically come toghether to form a car just like that? if not then how can you say that something as beautiful/complex as a human embrio just came to be? it couldn't we have to be part of someone's master plan. i guess just step back and think about that for a little while.

Lol true. I said "your so-called God" because people have many different points of view on God, because last time I checked Christians and Muslims have different points of view on "God", so I didn't want to offend anyone so I said that. Again, I said "your so-called God" so I wouldn't offend anyone so I don't see any way how the fuck it would set you off. You have to remember that I'm not directing this towards you, I'm not personally attacking you or your beliefs, I'm making a general statement. So if you don't like my beliefs, but you respect them, thanks. But if you don't like my beliefs, and you don't respect them, fuck off. I have alot of stuff goin on right now, and the last thing I need is some guy who thinks that I've got an attitude about his beliefs (when I don't). So bah, we need some other opinions in here because I want to know if there are other people like me (not the whole theory of how we came to be, but somewhere around there).

The way I look at it a religion is not something you suddenly decide to believe in, a religion is when you can finally put a name to something you've felt all your life but lacked the terms to explain. If you don't believe in a god then it's not for you. Find something that matches what you do believe and come to that instead.

There is evidence. Of and Intelligent designer anyway...there's no other way for the universe to be here.

Is any of that backed up scientifically?
