It is prom time in the US. Along with prom time comes and increse in people trying to get teenagers to stop drinking and driving in the US. For the past week or so they have been telling storys of people getting killed by drunk drivers on our annoucments. They had nationwide insuance's "prom promise" not to drink or smoke weed around prom. My school is ramming this stuff down people's throats. And what do they give out for prom favors? Wine glasses:uhoh:.

Ok, so you try for a 2 weeks to get people not to drink and drive, and then you give them wine glasses as favors? Where is the logic in that? Who in their sane mind would approved of that?

I don't care about people of any age drinking at home since you can't do much harm in your own home. But don't get in a car.

I didn't attend either of our proms. Instead of spending the money on tuxedos and prom dresse ect., we pooled our money and rented a cabin at Eagle Lake. Upon arrival everyone's keys were locked in a smal cash box. Nobody drove and we all had a blast! :nodding: Keys were handed out the next day after everyone was sober.:smokin:

Im getting my prom the 22nd of June. The organisation is simple as hell : We get there, (Hilton Hotel) we have the cocktail, dance, blah blah blah blah (useless stuff), then the fun begins: We load up a bus and then we go to the after-prom, where alcool is present and no school personnal is! Meaning that nobody gets to drive their car and we all sleep there, since that bus leaves the afterprom the morning after.

We had a "Safe-Grad", because the legal drinking age here in central Canada is 18. Basically, if you were 18, you got a wristband and were allowed to be served drinks (it wasn't hard to get my underaged friends drinks though). It went from 10:30PM to around 5:30AM, so I'm not so sure anybody did anything after :p.

Good plan...everyone has a good time, and no drunk drivers. :nodding:

Yea... Also to attend the afterprom, you have to actually buy a certain number of drinks (even if you are underaged hehehe.).

(Card you buy, it pays the alcohol)
