yeah, i know what your talking about.. except i dont do my work or anythin, and i get my best grades on test, but i do know a specific kid, who everyone thinks is a retard cause he makes all the jokes, he goes to jail, hes an alchoholic, doesnt do homeowork, but actualy he is one of the smartest kids i know of, he has gotten the highest test grade in class almost every test, you ask him something he wont tell you, unless the teacher is wrong he goes into some long drawn out reason why, but then he goes back into idiot mode and throws a joke on the end of his explanation

hes not exactly what you are talking about, i think your talking about his opposite, which would be you, you do the work, dont get in trouble, good kid, smart, but you get bad test grades

I dont understand the school systems, I really dont. I understand every subject I'm taking, I do my work, I'm intelligent, I have a great memmory yet I dont do well in school; especially on tests. While I see asshole kids who cheat and lie and are complete idiots getting 90's and stuff. What the hell is going on here. I'm so damn sick of idiotic kids not working for good grades whilst I do my part and I get a load of shit in return. My parents tell me thoe who dont work there way through school lose out in college; but I dont think so. I mean think about it, colleges only look at grades, not the kid whos "working" for them. Therefore because some asshole cheats, he will get into a good college such as Harvard while a kid like me who is capable of getting into harvard ends up going to some crap community college.

The kid who I'm talking about is so....retarded, that he didnt even know the difference between a vegitative state and being paralysed. He also took a black perminant marker and wrote "poop" on the floor so whenever he walk by it he yells' "there's poop on the floor!" like a retard, This kid is in 11th grade and gets 90's... BS!!!!!!

I believe I have a "condition" called test anxiety in which you for so reason or another suck at tests. Mabey I have dislexia or I set myself up to fail subconciously. I dont know anymore.

I brought this up to raise a few questions and oppinions: Has anybody experianced/experiancing a similar situation? Based on the example I have given do you think something needs to be changed in the school systems as a whole? Is there any effective way to convey to a college that your grades do not accuratly display how you perform as a student? Or voice your oppion about anything relating to these questions. As always advice is much appreciated.

I'm brilliant, you know.

I have this unerring ability to just be really fucking awesome in exams, without revising much at all.

Case in point, the GCSE mocks I've recently taken. Out of the nine written papers, I got seven A*s, one A and one B. Amount of actual revision done? Fuck all. No time actually spent revising.

To be fair, I remain fairly attentive in lessons, but I'm pretty lax at homework.

First off.

Stop giving a shit about other people. its about you and your marks.

You shouldn't care what the other kid does and what it gets him, that is his problem.

Your problem is too figure out why you suck at tests. Test anxiety is an excuse. If you study hard, know your subject inside out, test anxiety doesn't exist.

I do my work without cheating or coping

Irrelevant TBQH, thats a moral decision you take.

I am very intelligent

What does very mean? Intelligent at doing homework and studying or intelligent because you get 80percent on a quiz

I have a great memmory

There goes your test anxiety excuse. If you ahve great memory, you won't lose important details under pressure and will keep more important ones in longer, like dates and figures.

I have been told by my teacher my average should be about 5-10 points higher inorder to be proportional to my intelligence/potential.

What the hell does that mean? There is an intelligence/potential measuring machine or something?

Im trying to say that school systems should rethink their methods because stupid kids can seem smart through cheating and lieing while kids who are smart but need help do not get it.

1. Rare cases. 2. Equality, if you ened help go get it. You won't be refused. 3. Lieing has shit to do with a test. 4. Cheating is not as easy as it sounds, and trust me, here in College, that shit will get noticed in a blink of an eye. Teachers are ruthless.

You guys are entirely missing my point.....

What I am saying is this: I do my work without cheating or coping I am very intelligent I have a great memmory Yet I suck at test and get low grades While kids who actually are stupid get good grades through cheating. I have been told by my teacher my average should be about 5-10 points higher inorder to be proportional to my intelligence/potential.

Very intelligent meaning i have an IQ of 120 out of 150 which cosists of the top 14 percentile of people in the world.... And doing homework and grades does not accuratly refelct intelligence. It may reflect your work ethic but thats it...

What the hell does that mean? There is an intelligence/potential measuring machine or something?

What I am saying is that I was told that the amount of knowlage I have in a subject is not reflected on my test grades...

There goes your test anxiety excuse. If you ahve great memory, you won't lose important details under pressure and will keep more important ones in longer, like dates and figures.

Memmory capacity doesnt counteract test anxiety... Test anxiety is when you basically blank out during a test but recall all the information you need afterwords.

What you are saying (atleast to me) is that you think that you deserve a little higher grade for being better than other students, not just in intelligence, but a better person. I've given people worksheets to copy my entire academic career, call it cheating if u, I call it helping them pass so they can continue to learn. I wouldn't expect my students to know random political facts I pulled from the depths of my hindquarters, but some teachers do.

Overall the education system is designed to make you aware of how to solve problems that would be presented to you in the workplace, if you happen to have a desk job that involves mathmatics, writing, or computers, or maybe... teaching. However for just about anything else, college is the only way to get respected training, and by respected I mean specific training that will be recognized. If you don't have a degree, you will not have a high income, and will most likely live below poverty level.

It's a paper system, but what we need is a system that recognizes talent and the only way to show tallent is to apply knowledge, which few schools do, I mean in geometry, it's a bunch of numbers and lines to most kids, what the hell does it mean? Present them with someone that they can interact with, and it starts to sink in. In history kids are presented with dates and events, but none of it is really relevant except by cause and effect and fear of repetition of certain events, but most kids don't see this side of the spectrum and just think of it, like the rest of school, as something they have to do to pass. Make them apply history to life or work with history (non text projects) and they may begin to understand how it works.

What statment makes me sound arrogant. I'm sorry if you got that impression but I'm actually quite other-centric. But you are correct with your statement regarding my belief that I "deserve a little better". This is true because I know I have the knowlage and I do the work without coping and I always have my homework done even when I'm sick of doing my work, and sick of studing, and sick of school; I always have my work in ontime. I never ask people for help on my reports. I do everything on my own; each piece of material a teacher recieves from me is 100% my own. And for that I do believe I deserve better....

And BTW that IQ thing is true. I took 3 tests to prove it and I cheacked scoring online many times. I wasnt BSing you.
