I am against any civilians having firearms. look at Europe and Middle East, civlians dont have guns and thier countries are peaceful. (excluding militaries, insurgents, freedom fighters, etc.)

but since im in america i guess its ok for me to own a gun for protection from OTHER GUN OWNERS.

maybe if the citizens had guns, the militias, insurgents, and freedom fighters would attack so often, someone might actually fight back

Australia comes more with jungle warfare. They have weapons but specialize more in jungle warfare. Many countries dont have weapons at all and those countries are messed up. They are not organized.

Guns make it easier to kill. That's why armies use them instead swords and spears. The benefit of allowing guns is that it makes it easier for the little old lady to defend herself against a burglar. The downside is that if a person makes up his or her mind to kill someone else then having a gun is going to make it a lot easier to do it. You can say that the person would be able to get a gun on the black market anyways but having them legal makes it a lot easier. People need to decide which scenario is the most tolerable.

There are several European countries i wouldn't classify as "peaceful". Maybe they've changed... i don't know. And i always thought alot of middle eastern countries had dictatorships... or a form of it. Or is that JUST Iraq?
