I agree with Komrad_B, it is just silly. If Tibet is a free nation, then they have a chance for democracy, and a better way of living. I mean really, who wants to live in a dictatorship, or a communism, or a place where the internet is censored, or how about a place where you are payed wages far below comfortable living. Really, some advice, think something through before posting it.

Sorry, I was just looking for the post that says to send in American troops, cause this really isn’t an issue America is completely concerned about, nor do we wish to anger China further as we would not be able to withstand a military conflict at this juncture – apparently, it is a regional issue and one that concerns Europeans …so…Why doesn’t Europe gain the support of the other members of the UN (less America) and go for it? Because no one wants to bag on themselves; its easier to persuade America to lead the fight so everyone can gracefully pull out their troops and support when it starts to get tough and leave us to pick up the pieces and then talk down to us dirty little uncultured upstarts.

Nice try at derailing a thread with whiny complaints about them whimpy europians taking advantage of poor, poor america.

As for tibet being free.. Yes they should be, they -would- be better off in the end.

You've proven my point - all talk no action. Directly or indirectly America is always pulled in. Give it up. China will never release or yield on Tibet so this is not even an issue anyway.

It hasn't, you guys need to understand irony and directed sarcasm as it applies to Tibetan indepence. If you want China to give it up then propose an idea instead of bobbing heads about it.:D

No-one mentioned america before you stormed in here with a completely misplaced knee-jerk reaction.

And this is not an issue? Then terrorism from muslim extremists is not an issue either, as it's never going to go away.

Now china is not going to let go of Tibet anytime soon, however.. this doesnt mean we should give up on trying.

Look_at_that!;3407979should tibet be free, even though it would go downhill and be an even poorer region if it was free i think in reality that wanting freedom is just being stubborn, why bother if your people will be the same anyway, backwards and dirty!

lets see...nope no mention of China, nor mention of NOT wanting China to give it up, so apparently I can...and lets not get smart. Mine was an injected point of view with regard to Tibet, apparently you intend this thread to have a narrow view - yours and am forced to agree with previous posts regarding the intent of the thread - sorry.:uhm:
