7 Years in Tibet is one of my favourite movies... I say free it.

It's disgusting how China has ruined what was so simple and pure.

Look at that!;3410856so diffrent ethnic peoples should not live together?, are you western?, if so i find that a very backwards view for westerner

I think it's more forwards than backwards, really. I think you're a communist propagandist for the "people's" republic of China.

Anyways,

Free Tibet. For this guy.

What's the point of "demanding" that Tibet be freed? Pointless waste of time. In the real world, nobody gives a crap about what you think. Unless you have the opinion to do something about, or someone else does - you're just wasting your breath. We might as well "demand an end to poverty" and "demand an end to disease".

That’s messed up that someone called you a “chink”…sure the moderators can figure out who – given that pretty much everyone in the racism threads was against such labels. Anyway – your drowning here, might want to just let this one go and accept the fact that pretty much the world (save for China) is not kosher with the whole Tibetan situation.

See, the whole thing about Tibet is that it, like Bhutan, is hardcore Buddhist. Fighting and killing for Buddhism is, well, kinda counter to the whole point of Buddhism. All you can do is hope that the nation that took it realises it isn't worth the scorn of the rest of the world to hold it.

Which might explain why Buddhism is declining. ;)

As if China ever cared what anybody else thinks.

My son’s friend is Buddhist and his older brother and I had a discussion ironically about this a few months back and he felt the decline has a lot to do with being objective toward non-violent intentions when the world around them is chipping away one Buddhist at a time…so the commonsensical thing to do in any situation which threatens sovereignty is to fight or be lost in the pages of history like so many others that have come before.
