Hey everyone, Lately at school and my family members have been asking me my plans for after school and my career choice. Its always been in my heart to follow the family tradition of the first son joining the military (my family has been in the military for 7 generations). If I joined It would be as an engineer because I just love engineering its a great passion I have. If I join, that way Im set for when my time is up in the service, Im set for elsewhere. But Im also a huge fan of the World Wars history, It seems to be the only thing I ever top the year in. I wouldnt mind getting into re enacting the scenes for museums and tour companies. Or a historian maybe? Here is one of my major favourite pastimes, firearms. I am currently representing my age group at a state level in clay shooting and I love it. I wouldnt mind going further with it. Now comes to my last thought. Gaming has been one of my top two passions since I was 8 years old. Id love to get into 3d/2d graphics animation and modelling texture work etc. So what do you guys think?

Those are quite different options you have there.. I dont think we can make the decision, but i think you should just look ahead, and realisticly imagine what life will be like if you were to have one of these jobs.. and how you like it. As a professonal soldier for example, you wont have much time for yourself, and your life is regulated directly by the goverment and militairy, you do as you are told, what you think is irrelevant. Reinacting past battles.. i dont think there is much money in that, could you live with that? Etc etc, just do this for all your possible carreer choice, and see what you like best.. then go for it :D

Wow Flodgy, I guess we're just exactly the same then. That's kind of wierd.

I heard the University of Southern Clifornia has a new major in Game Design sponsored by EA Games.

you could always do all of them. Join the military for awhile, become an engineer, then get into 3-D designing, then go for historian.

Well, I was getting at that, but I just wanted to say, "kick ass." Mack

I see the military being a good choice for you, as it serves several of your intrests, and will also give you extremely valuable life experience.
