People go to enormous lengths to avoid any jokes about anything including homosexuals whether it's related to their sexual preferences or not. This is sort of diametrically opposed to that which is why it's funny. If they didn't make a big deal out of it it wouldn't be funny but they do. Sort of like shooting themselves in the head really.
[sarcasm] Burn those evil Shrek cartoonists at the stake! Damned warlocks! [/sarcasm]
amoreelitesoldierI haven't heard of anyone dropping an anvil on someone's head after watching one too many episodes of Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner... :\ Have you?
No. Have you ever heard of a kid turning gay after watching Shrek?
That was hardmless fun, but cartoonists are really starting to show their 'undying' support for the liberal agenda, which includes acceptance of 'alternative lifestyles'
Look around you. The world has already changed. Most normal people accept others rights to do as they please. In Britain, you would be the one defined as having an alternative lifestyle.
You're in for a big shock if you ever leave your close-nit church group and enter the real world.
This is sad, Relious crazies giving entire faths bad names:uhoh: its like Islamic terrorists. People need to lear to STFU end enjoy it. First harry potter, OMG it has teh wiches, then finding nemo, oh no it is teh vegetains, then all this crap, OMFG we can't have out kids getting non-existant messages about gay people, People need to get a life, its children's programing FFS. I'm against gays though but for freedom of TV to broafcast what ever they want.

Fundamentalists are way too paranoid. NO ONE IS TRYING TO TURN YOUR KIDS GAY. It's called humor. Get some, you might like it. I was brought up to be tolerant of any religion, creed or sexual orientation. And no, that does not include Necrophilia and Bestiality. I can understand Christians being a little shocked by South Park, the movie. After all it does make fun of what they believe so very hard. But SpongeBob is not a gay herald of Satan! I don't like the show either, but it is not making kids gay! I don't see Shrek having anal intercourse with a man in the movie, and the rest of the hints are so subtle that adults will understand them, not the kids. If you're going to start a crusade against such movies, please consider how much you're annoying others and wasting their time. I agree with Chaka. This would only develop true character if it were in the melee. Oh, and the site Matt mentioned: www.capalert.com
capalert.com ALERT!!! We can no longer help you serve your little ones without your GENEROUS, TIMELY and CONSISTENT TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donations! PLEASE . . . . . . .
Ha. Ha Ha. Rofl. sorry, they deserve it.
Lord WienerOh, and the site Matt mentioned: www.capalert.com
*looks at site* 'Prayer alert' ;r What the hell is wrong with you people?! Do you really lack the capability to take any responsibility for yourselves? You're supposed to be adults for crying out loud, not little kids cowering away from the world.
On topic. If you've really bought your kids up to be that easily persuaded then perhaps the problem isn't with the movie but with your lack of decent parenting skills.
Every single topic that can have an issue raised on it (read: any single thing slightly off base from anything we have ever done before) will have an issue raised on it. D&D will turn you satanic! Rock and Roll is evil! Etc. If we don't produce anything that Fundamentalists can stick their noses into and complain about we would still be living in caveseating raw meat and listening to Fundamentalist Grok grunt in disgust at Caveman Grunk's suggestive cave paintings. Fundamentalists are like ants: you can't kill them, they will never go away, and getting stung is worth not having to tread carefully your whole life to avoid them.
