TORONTO - Gene Simmons says he's heard enough celebrity tributes to Michael Jackson, and wants to hear from the kids who accused the late pop singer of molestation.

Simmons, the bassist/vocalist for classic rock stalwarts Kiss, says he's less interested in Jackson's talent than he is in accusations that the singer molested young boys. "I want the kids who've accused him, to be blunt, of molestation, to have their say," Simmons told The Canadian Press in a telephone interview from Los Angeles on Thursday. "I want to hear what they have to say. Not celebrities. Let's celebrate the talent and everything later, let's just figure out if there are any victims here." Jackson, who died last week, was tried for child molestation in 2005 but was ultimately acquitted of all charges by a jury. He faced a similar accusation in 1993 but that case was settled out of court. For years, rumours swirled as Jackson hung around with child stars including Macaulay Culkin, and invited young boys for sleepovers at his Neverland ranch. Despite being acquitted, those close to him have said he never recovered from the charges. Since his death, glowing tributes have been rolling in from celebrities around the world, with few mentions of the allegations. Even U.S. President Barack Obama paused Thursday to say that Jackson "will go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers." Meanwhile, speculation raged Thursday about where the King of Pop will be buried, with some reports mentioning that there will be a public event in honor of the singer at the Staples Center in L.A. next week.

Officials are also probing the circumstances around Jackson's death, and whether drug use was involved. Simmons, who's a popular - and reliably outspoken - reality TV star in addition to a rocker, said he initially declined to provide his opinion on Jackson, but that enough time had elapsed since the singer's death for him to break his silence. Simmons said he knew Jackson roughly 26 years ago. At the time, Simmons was living with Diana Ross and found Jackson to be "charming and shy and self-effacing, you know, very pleasant, obviously talented." Jackson paid millions of dollars to settle out of court with a 13-year-old who accused him of molestation in 1993, Simmons noted. "I want to know what that boy has to say," Simmons said. "So while it's sad that (Jackson) had this sad life and I understand, that's horrible - Michael's not the only victim. I want to know what these boys have to say."

I'm not a fan of Gene in anyway but he is right..They (kids) need to speak up, MJ is dead we all know but the truth as painful as it may be to die hard fans they need to accept reality of who MJ truly was.

A great Warhammer quote: there is no such thing as innocence only degrees of guilt

[color=#000000][size=2][b][i]Heralds of the coming doom, Like the cry of the Raven, we are drawn, This oath of war and vengeance, On a blade of exalted iron sworn, With blood anointed swords

Yes but the majority of the world's current bandwagon of loving Micheal and forgetting/denying everything he's been accused of means that if the victims were to stand up and say anything, millions would be against them. It doesn't gain them much, maybe a couple of bucks and on the cover of a paper, but to have a reputation for 'slagging off the King of Pop now he's dead' internationally, just isn't worth it.

Nonetheless, Gene is right, we should stop being blinded by the wool that the press has pulled over our eyes. I'm seriousely fed up with the MJ is dead stories, who gives a shit how healthy he was a couple of weeks ago; fuck all difference that will make now.

So far 12 have already commited suicide over MJ's death, can you image how many more would follow if they had to admit his "little" habit.

I'm sorry, but if you're sad enough to kill yourself over someone you've probably not even met, you deserve whatever fate you get.

I agree with simmons - straight forward no bullsh't either he did or he didn't but come forward, present your case, show your evidence. Then lets sort out reality from pomp.

Yes lets all come forward and claim we were molested despite a hardcore Prosecutor that hated Michael Jackson and wanted nothing more to see him publicly humiliated and arrested. And yet even that person could not find enough evidence to convict Jackson.

So its important now that this gets brought back up and dragged through the mud especially nowthat he can no longer defend himself.

If you say something good about someone no one cares or notices but the second anyone starts slinging shit its almost always believed and very easily.

I am willing to give Jackson the benefit of the doubt. If a gung ho prosecutor and police department could not find enough evidence or a case to convict Jackson then let it be, he was tried for the crime once, but you people wont let his corpse rest until someone says yes he did and you wont care if there is any evidence. All you will say was he was weird so I knew he was always a child molester.

You are right, no case could be ethically or honestly concluded as factual from so-called witnesses or victims*. Their testimonies would be considered conjecture as Michael cannot speak against any allocations, same goes for people who have and will come out and talk about their life with Michael behind the scenes, as far as we know it is all made up, as Michael can’t come forward and confirm or deny their claim(s), and no proscecuter who values their career or reputation will pursue it…it would be legal suicide. *Statue of limitation on rape or child molestation in the US requires the accused to be alive, so no “case” to pursue monetary recourse against the defendant’s heirs and what estate will remain, can be brought. People like to save face, but a heavy conscience is a hard burden to carry with you. Some of these kids (who are adults now), I believe were put into a situation to lie about what happened in an effort to gain money from Michael Jackson. I know some of you were to young to remember, but the families and kids Michael took into his home were pretty destitute and some down right trailer trash – any excuse to exploit with the hopes of gaining money. I know this first hand. I work with people who are financially destitute (usually because of medical expenses) who I have to always be on my guard with. Most people in modern society unfortunately have no class or self honor and often resort to devious conclusions as a way out of their predicament. We get between 20 and 50 frivolous lawsuits against our employees annually. Almost all of them are tossed out of court or settled because the intent of the accuser was to gain money from my employer. What a perfect ruse. Parents: People see Michael as a freak, he acts like a homo, he admittedly enjoys the company of children (let the public think what they will on that one), and his mental state is in question, so what a perfect opportunity to concoct a story that Michael molested our child. We can’t loose! Well, they did loose, as you pointed out; Michael was never convicted because the evidence and testimony of the accuser(s) was not enough to convince a jury or the judge. Until, someone actually produces evidence other than bias testimony I’ll have to keep my personal jury about Michael on the fence. Yes, he was a freak. Yes, he had issues. As responsible parents, they should have assessed the situation and not have allowed their children to be left alone with Michael. I think they did it in the hopes of trapping Michael; used their children as pawns to gain fortune. Think about it. It happened with one, and then like dominoes the rest of the roaches came out of the woodwork. If anything, Michael is guilty of trying to live what he preached, opening is heart and sharing what he had (money/home) with others. A fool he was to assume the best from people, Jesus made the same mistake also…and I bet if he ever did return, the same people that praise him would have him swinging from a rope by weeks end.

Nobody. They would all deny it even if kids had the stains on their clothing to prove it. To them, Micheal Jackson cannot do wrong. He had the Midas touch even to the air he exhaled.

I was at the BET awards and swear if I shouted "Micheal Jackson was not the greatest person in the history of humankind", I would have been shot 284 times.

I havent heard this much after-death shit about billy mays or ed mcmohan. Whats in their wills? Where will they be buried?

I'd like to go one day without hearing ANYTHING about jackson. And I saw a news article recently that says 64 % of Americans think the news coverage is too much.

Hes only been dead a week and everyone is obsessed with him.

A big "hell yea" for Gene Simmons on this shit.

If hes innocent, I'd think you micheal fans would welcome this, as his innocence would be "proved" yet again (this time without the 25 million out of court payment)...or are you worried?

And what proof do you have that the prosecutor and police department hated jackson?

There is no getting around it. I agree excessive coverage on a topic is…annoying, but MJ was sensational, and sensationalism sells…and we all know the Media is going broke, so they might as well cash in as long as people are listening, reading or watching what they intend to put on the preverbal front page. Just look at FF…how many threads we have again on Mike…thought so. EDIT: Previous post "allocations"...why, I have no idea meant allegations.

I thought he was acquitted

So...why is this such a big deal now, when he's dead? If there are further serious doubts about this, why wasn't a complaint made when Michael Jackson was alive and able to defend himself?
