Do you believe that haulcengens can cure depression I think they very well can becuase of the high rate of anixety they can bring can make you literally scared of death. I thought of this when I was stoned and I started having susicdual thoughts I started becoming really scared to die and I was going to go cut myself but I started thinking about smoking more so that stoped me.
You need professional help man...
I pretend to do stuff.

It's quite obvious you were stoned when you thought of this. It's a big, fat no. Drugs and alcohol (at least the hallucinogenic kind) reinforce your current mood. If you're sad and you start drinking, you'll become more sad. If you're happy and you smoke a joint, you'll become more happy.
If you're already depressed, and you do drugs - odds are you'll become suicidal (at least for the period that you're under influence).
To make this a bit clearer. In a very basic, broad sense, there are three different kinds of narcotics. Psycholeptics (calming effect), psychoanaleptics (agitating effect) and psychodysleptics (hallucinogenic). Psycholeptics are the only class which might work in this case, as these are the opiates. These put a cover over everything, and dull both physical (morphine) and emotional (heroin) feelings. The psychoanaleptics are agitating, such as speed or crack. These will likely increase your feeling and just generally agitate you.
The psychodyspeltics are the hallucinogenics you're referring to. Taking these basically reinforce your belief of what will happen (if you think you'll be happy, you'll be happy - think you'll be violent, you'll be violent). The huge risk when taking hallucinogenics is that if you do encounter even the smallest thing which is "bad" (eg a spider when you have a slight case of arachnophobia) - the trip will go very bad. The chances of a bad trip when depressed are just far higher than normal, and you're more likely to harm yourself if you do have a bad trip like this.
If you really want the name of an illegal drug that would numb away depression (not cure, mind you - just numb it so you won't care), heroin would be the answer. Not any hallucinogenic.
Obviously, this is all stupid to begin with. You're best off seeing a therapist, or taking something like Prozac, which is actually developed to help against depression.
:uhm: Great... awesome dude. But I still doubt that's much of a cure. What are you gonna do though if you have suicidal thoughts and there's nothing to allow an opportunity to get stoned? Besides, I doubt that's really a cure. You aren't really cured of the depression. You're not facing it, you're just avoiding it by drifting into a relatively unconscious state. What if you become conscious again and the situation I mentioned in my previous question in this post comes to be true? Also, at that rate people who are suicidal and depressed, I'm not too sure how often they feel like it when they are conscious, but if they feel suicidal almost every waking moment of their lives then they aren't really living by getting stoned every single moment of their lives. I mean that's just analogy but if it's true then what else can they really do other than that.
I started having these thoughts after I tried salvia I really regert trying that drug. I thought it was safe becuase it was legal but its really dangerous becuase it's actually an opiod and not a haullcengen.

This is pretty much true. The way that it can help is to better understand your own feelings because you experience them much more intensely.

"Really dangerous" is somewhat of an exaggeration, but it's true you shouldn't joke around with Salvia. Salvinorin A is considered the most potent naturally occurring psychoactive substance. It's educational though. Being so disconnected with reality that you don't really realize you exist is an experience you can hardly make any other way.
Your poll is somewhat inaccurate. Weed is not a hallucinogen.
To be more on topic, you'd be much better off with actual prescription antidepressants than trying to self-medicate with hallucinogens, for reasons that the1chaos did an excellent job of describing.

With depression weighing heavily on both sides of my family, I naturally get the brunt of it.
That being said, I smoked a lot of dope to see if that would quell my depression just a little bit. Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly) enough, it just made me brainless and lazy. Conversely, a month later after I ceased smoking, I've become so bitter, inhuman and wrapped up into my own ridiculous malaise that I can rarely crack a smile unless I'm with close friends or family. Then I start hitting the bottle heavily, so it's just like a triathlon with drugs, handing off one baton and picking up the other. Being depressed and angry all of the time is really unhealthy, though low and behold...
...I don't have insurance, so no medication for me!
