Killer Kyle;4789357Really, doing any illegal drug is stupid.

I believe those drugs are really illegal for one purpose: they have no medicinal benefits.

Lots of drugs have no real benefits beyond a temporary change in psychological state and are still legal.

But those benefits are positive and are deemed safe for most people.

Killer Kyle;4789257Th Depression is rooted in many other chemical imbalances, mainly lack of seretonin. The only real thing that can touch seretonin is Prozac and friends. Trust me, when you're depressed and/or anxious, your ability to make logical and/or rational conclusions flies out the fucking window.

Well I don't have any friends I'm trying to but its fucking hard simply becuase of my hybrid autism. And drugs like MDMA, psyiblion mushrooms and LSD all effect. mimic the seretonin in your brain making you feel happy, however you can fall into a bad trip and be scared shitless but that should be a life changing experince that can expand your mind.

Go see a psychologist, see what things you're diagnosed with, and see what they recommend to treat them. Armchair psychiatry probably is not a good idea.

:agreed

Those "experiences" that "broaden your mind" are possibly damaging it. This is scientific fact. Like I said before, you cannot (or it's hard to) make rational conclusions/decisions when you're having depression and anxiety. Don't try to treat yourself because you can't. It's dangerous and you can make things worse or even kill yourself.

EDIT: When I meant friends, I meant other meds. Having friends can help. It really depends on who you choose to hang around with that makes social interaction beneficial or not.

Also I recommend seeking a (positive) religion or a group, but it's up to you.

Never mind that inconvenient fact.

Choose religion and you can look forward to objectifying women, demonize homosexuals, and inflating your ego with a sense of self righteousness over others. The transference to others of the degradation which you bear in yourself.

And the fact that not all of those "experiences" may not have been results of drugs. Let's also not forget those which died because of these drugs and are included in the category above.

It doesn't take drugs to have alternate experiences. It just takes steps out of some boxes; leaps of faith.

And if we really need help getting to these experiences, there are alternatives.

I'd rather live a fulfilling short life then a long dull one.

No, it takes drugs. From the coffee or soda you drink, to the cigarettes you smoke, to the beer you drink. Everyone does drugs, its just that not all drugs are labeled drugs.

I agree.

Still doesn't mean that drugs are required to explore new parts of reality. I don't think 100% of our civilization was built on drug-induced thoughts.

I wouldn't say 100%, but I would say "The majority of it".
