Do you know what MIB are? Have you ever seen one? Do you know who they work for? If you have an answer to any of these, by all means post. (picture to refresh memories)
Nod ya head! The black suits comin! :D
Yeah they are the guys said to show up after UFO and other phenomena sightings and supposedly work for the US Goverment and try to convince people they didnt see anything or that it was just a weather balloon.
IIRC they are usually saqid to be very intimidating and even terrifying by some people.
That is extremely eerie, Anlushac. This topic is very interesting already. When have the supposedly show up? . (How old is that picture?)
Men in Black is moreover a general term for government agents that are otherwise unnamed. Whereas people in the criminal world may refer to them as "suits" or "feds", people in the conspiracy theorist world refer to them as the "men in black" or "the man" or "feds". Typically they are related to UFO sightings though I've never actually heard of anyone being approached by an MIB after a reporting a UFO, usually it's just a telephone reply, a letter, or a news report. In the game "Deus Ex", men in black refer to government agents that have been modified by nanites, resulting in total obedience to whatever orders are distributed to them, as well as a general lack of personality and gray, dead looking skin, and furthermore glowing where eyes behind black sunglasses. A female version also appeared on several occasions in the game, known as the Woman in Black, but there were a good deal less of them than men in black. However, it was a video game and it takes place in 2057 (or 2027?) so it has little linking except in name and purpose to the real life MIB who I would think to basically be FIB, NSA, or CIA agents dressed in black suits.
I always knew he was actually a G-man...
I heard a story once, that in south america, a woman's daughter said she saw a alien in her backyard, just sitting there, and then it ran off. Later 2 MIB showed up and bribed her to keep her mouth shut (she didn't obviously)
lots of stories like that go around, mostly just memories that have self altered themselves based on expectations, or plain old lies.
There are in fact very few actual MIB cases documented. But they have occurred.
The mystery and folklore of the MIB's has become so well known that it did grow to be a generic term for anyone in a suit working for the Fed's.
The cases that have been documented are indeed creepy and I would not want them knocking on my door.
As far as I know they havent actually hurt anyone but they do try to intimidate and appear threatening and use thinly disguised threats.
the story was true, it was on the discovery channel on some special on UFO's, thre were many other stories
One documented case I remember reading about.
IIRC it was in Pennsylvania outside Pittsburgh a mana nd his wife saw strange lights in the sky. I think it was the wife said it was the radio station tower lights and the husband said no thats over tehre and pointed off to the right.
Intrigued now the husband decided to grab the family dog and go for a walk. He got to a clearing ontop of a hill and had a very good view of the object that was lit up in the sky. H said it was a object that was glowing and appeared to be hovering despite a brisk breeze and appeared to make no noise.
While the husband stood watching and ws generally baffled a white CHevy suburban pulled up and two men in black suits got out. One approached the husband while the other stayed by the front of the truck. Even it was around dusk and the sky was starting to get darker both men were wearing sunglasses.
The "MIB" told the man he was trespassing on private property. The man said it was owned by the local radio station and people walked here all the time. The "MIB" told the man that he needed to leave now or be "detained" for interfering with the US Goverment. The Husband asked what interest did the US Goverment have in a remote hilltop with only some radio station towers on it. The "MIB" became threatening and made it clear that if the man did not leave things would get worse. The husband turned to leave. The two "MIB's" waited il the man left before leaving thtemselves. Before leaving though the husaband noted the license plate number nd noted that teh plates were current Pennsylvania plates.
The next day the news was full of reports of lights in the sky and the husband called a friend who worked in the Pennsylvania BMV and had him run the license plate. That plate number did not exist.
Thats all I remember of the story.
