Hmm, that's what I always thought. But even if scientists considered it 'ethical', instead of animal rights protestors chaining themselves up outside the lab, it'd be human rights protestors. They can't win...
Mr. Mattinstead of animal rights protestors chaining themselves up outside the lab, it'd be human rights protestors.
If they believe that the human rights make human better or more worth than other species..... :vikki:
there was some movie about that ,extreme measures-gene hackman it was a good movie
No it isn't. Animals were not here for us to test cosmetic products on them.
OK, when the animals tell us to stop, we'll stop. Mmm-kay??
I didn't make it!
Animals cannot speak. Just because they do not have as much intelligence as humans does not mean we should treat some of them the way we do.
Plain in simple, animals were not here to test our products on them, which is what you suggest in your upper post. Maybe we should test some products on you, the way they test on animals. Maybe you would have a differance of opinion.
who told animals cannot speak? just because they cannot speak our language does not mean thay cannot interact with each other, we cannot understand their languae it is a known fact that dolphins ,whales and other animals interact with each other in utrasonic sound
Animal cannot speak, you are correct. We are the dominant species of this planet. We own it. It is ours to do with as we please and so is everything in it. We eat animals. Kill them, cook them, display them in shop windows and then consume their flesh. Maybe we should kill/cook/display/consume you, the way they do animals. Maybe you would have a differance of opinion.
you forgot to mention wearing their skins and furs
I'm goin against animal testing on this one. For one, we're on top of the food chain and should do what we please with our inferior animal cousins, but what we do to these animals is entirely gross, testing on animals though shouldn't be done as it shows just how 'nice' we are with nature. What cosmetics and other companies do on animals can be quite disgusting so I'm gonna say no.
There is nothing wrong with wearing furs. Humans have been wearing the skins and furs of other animals for more than 40,000 years, there's a reason why, its warm. Personally I own a pair of rabbit skin/fur gloves that were once my grandfathers and are pretty much all I have left of him. My mother owns a mink fur coat and its the softest thing on the planet, not to mention is very warm (which counts in these cold Canadian winters).
yod@you forgot to mention wearing their skins and furs
Yeah, I'll make your skin into an overcoat . All the same....
