Well I have to agree in a sense that hunting for trophies is wrong, but you need to do at least something with the bodies (I donate them to various hunting/camping lodges) I also donate what I don't eat of whatever i'm hunting to shelters

Solid Snake I agree with the fact that if hunting wasn't legal the deer population would become to high that it would eventually cause more accidents and shortages of land for them to live at

MihailSkills? you mean being able to hold in excess of a 4kg rifle? then pulling the trigger at a animal that has no idea nor chance to get away from it?

You ever shoot a deer running away from you when your first shot has missed? Some rifles you need no skill to do this (shotgun) The others need all the skill you can get just to put it down (muzzleloaders) It can or cannot take skill depending on what weapon you choose.

Also you can give it plenty of warning by making it notice you so it can run away.

That's turning the death of something into so much of a game. Ironic, I guess, since I just finished playing Bf2.

i think that hunting is murder but i am vegetarian and i dont think that any animal should be killed for my pleasure. also "inocent" hunting trips involve the killing of endangerd species.

I think a much more fair way of hunting is using weapons that you can only build by hand. If you can build a bow with arrows without the use of tools, you can use it, if all you can create is a spear, use it. That is the ultimate challange. Shooting from hundreds of feet away really requires no more skill then being able to sit and be patient for extended periods of time in my opinion.

The ultimate challange would be going into the woods naked with NOTHING on you.. but that would to dangerous now wouldnt it..

Its not a fair fight when one side uses a hand cannon.

Thats not how I do it. I am constantly on the move sneaking around crawling through the bushes (just like when I was in the Marine Core....) stalking my prey just as they come to a stand still. I then scare them into running away fast enough to escape or to find themselves in my line of sights. Also I don't just sit around because I had a bad experiance doing just that. One time I was hunting deer, and I was camped between some foliage and a tree with a bolder behind me. I sat there for 1 and a half hours waiting for something to show up. I eventually decided to get up and move. However a bear snuck up behind me and got close enough to attack me. The bear cut my left cheek (on my face) with his claws. I had to run because the weapon I had was not strong enough to hold him off (it was a crossbow, this explains why I dont hunt with them) I ran away and got immediate medical treatment. The scars may be dimmer now they when I was 20 but you can still see them. That is why I dont camp/use a crossbow.... As for not being a sport I can see your point but I implore you to at least try it and judge it for yourself. [EDIT] Skills such as managing to survive a bear attack  [EDIT]
