I don't see the discription in post 1 as the "typical" teenager but they are getting more and more common sadly enough. They behave as if there is no tomorrow, they just do whatever pleases them and don't give a damn about how this affects others. They screw around, don't care about their marks, think it's cool to do as many people as possible, apparenlty it is uncool to wait for the right person. You just have to need a "relation" at the age of 13 and hit the bed because else you are a loser :uhm: . If you are 13-17 and you have a serious relationship then thumbsup to you but please don't get a relation "just because" (it's cool) , that is just wrong. If you need to "prove" yourself to your friends then they shouldn't be your friends in he first place. It looks like mature and caring people are dying out. But I always resistet the temptation (well actually it's not a temptation at all, how can it be fun to be a loser? In the end THEY are the ones that lose, not me. But if it makes them feel better to call mature people losers...), I personnaly think its very very wrong to be disrespectfull to other people, i have been taught to help other people out and support them, not throw bricks at them.

i agree with most that, but it only realy works for most chavs, the type that listen to, hip hop,rap rnb, who walk around thinking they are sumtype of "gangster" who just terrorise people.not supriseing though when u got idiots like 50cent who actuly puplise shooting people, saying its ok to terrorise and kill,in england there been loads of cases where, these types have killed, normal people for no reason but fun or "repect" whats respectful about killing a 14 year old girl for fun? i wouldnt blame the kids though, blame todays music industry, who says its ok to kill, disrespect people, drink, do drugs, smoke to me its people like 50cent who should be jailed or killed for, the hatred he causes in the world today, without the consent, avetising that its ok to do these things kids wouldnt bother..

No, you blame the kids. They are responsible for what they do. It was their choice to listen to people like 50 cent.

For dancing in a club or at a party, 50 cent is perfect for the occasion. Otherwise, it is a musical travesty.

The human brain in the hands (or rather head hopefully) or a person under the age of 17, is highly malleable. What they see and hear has a great affect on the bearing of their life. Especially in the younger teens stages, whilst a complete set of morals are still forming, just hearing fifty cent rap about how he killed some old grandmother because the bought the last loaf of bread, may lead children to think this is acceptable behaviour.

i no what your saying i do amit that kids who are like 15 on wards should no what they doing, but music still has effect on people and lets say you start listening to this crap, when your 9 or 10 you are going to listen to what hes saying, because of the age your at your still learning, your going to listen it and belive it dosent help that 50 cent gets away with what hes doin as well, he openly amits carry guns, killing people and stuff like that, but the police dont do anything.

amoreelitesoldierAs the thread title suggests, I am just tired of today's youth. The teenagers I see today are just a bunch of angry, rebellious punks. I can't stand the "typical" teenager. Just for clarification, here is what I consider a "typical" teenager. 1. 13-17 years old (18 is the legal age) 2. Has little or no respect for parents. 3. Has little or no respect for teachers. 4. Has little or no respect for any authority figures, i.e. the previously listed, law enforcement, etc. 5. Gets bad grades in school and doesn't attempt to improve. 6. Ruins, or is currently ruining, their future by doing stupid things such as drinking alcohol, using drugs/narcotics, getting a girl pregnant (or getting pregnant, for the ladies), etc. 7. Has a carefree, "I'm invincible!" attitude toward life and doesn't seem to care that his decisions made today can, and will, affect him in the future. I am tired of walking through Best Buy and being stared down like I'm a shoplifter, or walking through a sporting goods store and being stared at by all of the "rednecks" (not a bad thing, just stating a "fact") who automatically assume that I'm just a punk teenager that is what I just described. ^ Here is another small thing that, obviously, irritates me. I don't the last time I heard someone my age call an adult "Sir" or "Ma'am." It's a simple concept to me, just a sign of respect, even if you don't know the person. The subject of "teen love" also irritates the heck out of me. I know teens like dating, it's just a little overrated. I guess I could just be jealous that I've only had one girlfriend, and that only lasted a week or less, so it doesn't really count. Time and time again I've seen my friends get all excited about the girl they just asked out, yet time and time again I see the same guy talking crap about the girl he was so hyped up about after they break up. To me, it's just stupid and not worth the hassle. My "theory" is that if my potential girlfriend and marriage aren't on the same page, then why spend the time dating? After all, isn't the point of dating to eventually end in marriage? Well, unless you live in the U.S. then it will sometimes end up with the boyfriend killing/raping/kidnapping his girlfriend. roll%20eyes%20%28sarcastic%29.gif Another problem is that nowadays kids are "falling in love." I mean, what is worse than a 12 or 13 year old girl getting pregnant? It's sickening. I'm done ranting for now, I'll add more later. Thanks for your time. smilie.gif

I completely agree with you 150%, i find the youth horibly foolish obnoxious, Ignorent and unwilling to change. They have no respect for their elders, it seems to them history was just something that didnt really happen, its just in books to agrevate them in school. All that they will become in this way are homeless people or people struggling to learn and stay aflout. You tell them : You know someone else in the world can only wish they could go to your school and what do you get back? a "Dont tell me that crap ive heard it before". It seems to me they wont listen... a few Generations ago the youth were honorable, hell some even fought in War, but although they themselves deside what they do. I believe it falls upon the parents sholders, they smart off, they get there ass whooped in some way or another, trust me if i would have said half the shit ive heard said to my Dad.... i probably wouldnt have seen the sun the next morning for a variety of reasons. But thats just my opinion. EDIT : also not all youth are like that... some have parents like i did :uhoh: .

Although I hate most of the 'youth' today, I hate the 'adults' more for generalising. I say 'youth' and 'adults' because there are just as many adults with that attitude, but people choose to blame it on the younger generation because they have nobody to stand up to them, and the adults don't like to believe that there is anything wrong with their generation.
