This may come surprising to you guys but,my parents raised me on a strong formation of manners. I believe in th saying Ms and Sir. I am amazed at how some of my friends act,but they still are my friends,I may come off as a wannbe thug, but I was raised on a strong feeling for manners and respect. You know, all the ol maners that were a requirement back in the day, helping the elderly, getting the door for them, chewing with your mouth closed, well ya know it all makes a differance.
amoreelitesoldierAs the thread title suggests, I am just tired of today's youth. The teenagers I see today are just a bunch of angry, rebellious punks. I can't stand the "typical" teenager. Just for clarification, here is what I consider a "typical" teenager. 1. 13-17 years old (18 is the legal age) 2. Has little or no respect for parents. 3. Has little or no respect for teachers. 4. Has little or no respect for any authority figures, i.e. the previously listed, law enforcement, etc. 5. Gets bad grades in school and doesn't attempt to improve. 6. Ruins, or is currently ruining, their future by doing stupid things such as drinking alcohol, using drugs/narcotics, getting a girl pregnant (or getting pregnant, for the ladies), etc. 7. Has a carefree, "I'm invincible!" attitude toward life and doesn't seem to care that his decisions made today can, and will, affect him in the future. I am tired of walking through Best Buy and being stared down like I'm a shoplifter, or walking through a sporting goods store and being stared at by all of the "rednecks" (not a bad thing, just stating a "fact") who automatically assume that I'm just a punk teenager that is what I just described. ^ Here is another small thing that, obviously, irritates me. I don't the last time I heard someone my age call an adult "Sir" or "Ma'am." It's a simple concept to me, just a sign of respect, even if you don't know the person. The subject of "teen love" also irritates the heck out of me. I know teens like dating, it's just a little overrated. I guess I could just be jealous that I've only had one girlfriend, and that only lasted a week or less, so it doesn't really count. Time and time again I've seen my friends get all excited about the girl they just asked out, yet time and time again I see the same guy talking crap about the girl he was so hyped up about after they break up. To me, it's just stupid and not worth the hassle. My "theory" is that if my potential girlfriend and marriage aren't on the same page, then why spend the time dating? After all, isn't the point of dating to eventually end in marriage? Well, unless you live in the U.S. then it will sometimes end up with the boyfriend killing/raping/kidnapping his girlfriend. Another problem is that nowadays kids are "falling in love." I mean, what is worse than a 12 or 13 year old girl getting pregnant? It's sickening. I'm done ranting for now, I'll add more later. Thanks for your time.
One more question amoreawhatever, your only 16,is that not considered youth....
Wrong. Yes it is, now go away.
I didn't make it!
my exprience shared with you about how to get the credit. There are many ways to earn credits in Star Wars Galaxies, you can either buy SWG credits online from a trusted source, or take your time and earn it in-game. In the game, the fastest and easiest way to earn your creds is by doing missions. There are 2 types of missions: Delivery Missions and Destroy Missions. To get a mission, find a mission terminal in the city. Orange colored terminals are neutral missions while the blue ones are faction dependent with a corresponding faction flag next to them. Delivery missions are good for starting characters to earn credits. They consist of delivering a package from one location to another. The delivery location might be in the same city or in another city. Delivery locations will always be marked with a waypoint which you can activate in your data pad (CTRL+D). The more farther the destination, the more credits you earn from the mission. If the destination is in another city, you will need to buy a shuttle ticket to get there. To do that, go to the nearest shuttleport using "/find shuttleport" . Then purchase a ticket to next city and wait for the shuttle, then get on it by using your ticket next to the shuttle. Destroy missions on the other hand are far more difficult and are definitely not for starting characters. Destroy missions consist of going to a specific location/dungeon and having to kill certain NPCs/monsters. They are located outside of cities and are best done with parties. The credits earned on destroy missions is more, but you can earn more credits faster without getting any damage by doing delivery missions. If you are looking to buy credits online, you can go to www.brogame.com to see the pric trend and that will be helpful for you.
Ahhh gee, I just typed a huge long post and it didn't go through.
*Is ticked off at new GF 3.5*
Would it be wrong of me to bring this thread back from the dead to say I stand by my OP about teenagers minus the dating part? :D EDIT: OP was written when I was 16...
