I have noticed that somehow, I seem to be defying the law of proabilty. See, I go to this 3,500 student school which is the biggest in my area of the US, and strange things seem to be happening. For example, I have had the same person in the locker next to mine for 2 years now, and lunch with the same group of people for 3 years now. I have no clue what I am doing in my math class and yet I still have a 69.6% (D+, passing), and I seem to have an abilty to think about things right nefore they happen (For example, before the launch of the Xbox 360 I looked at the statistics and commented "They will have a insane probelm with cooling it's processers and such a powerfull graphics chip" and I was right. I also remember having a dream that something signifigent would happen the night before 9/11). Also, last year I was thinking about how cool it would be if a friend from where I used to live moved up where I live, and then it happened less than a month later (I didn't know it would happen at the time).

So my question is, do I seem to defy the law of proabilty or does this have a logical explanation?

the reason you have had the same person in the locker next to yours for the past 2 years is probably because the locker assignments are by alphabetical order or something.

For example, I have had the same person in the locker next to mine for 2 years now,

As stated, very few schools have random locker assignments. It's probably the system.

lunch with the same group of people for 3 years now.

That's not probability, it's called 'friends.'

I have no clue what I am doing in my math class and yet I still have a 69.6% (D+, passing),

Does the teacher like you, or just generally try to pass his/her students?

I seem to have an abilty to think about things right nefore they happen

We all do. It's the 'ooooooh, shit' feeling you get at 11 pm when you get that flash thought about an AP History paper.

For example, before the launch of the Xbox 360 I looked at the statistics and commented "They will have a insane probelm with cooling it's processers and such a powerfull graphics chip" and I was right.

Again, how is this probability? It's insight, but it's not like that thought would be random in n amount of the 6 billion people on earth.

I also remember having a dream that something signifigent would happen the night before 9/11).

Nice coincidence. We all have dreams, nearly every night, and they generally deal with thoughts that seem significant.

Also, last year I was thinking about how cool it would be if a friend from where I used to live moved up where I live, and then it happened less than a month later (I didn't know it would happen at the time).

It's a small world. I've met totally random acquaintances before that were just... weird. I'm going to a University interview tomorrow, and I was talking to one of the guys I play tennis with when he said that his mother was a professor at that University. Etc. Sorry, but you're not a wizard.

I don't find anything here really exceptional.

For example, before the launch of the Xbox 360 I looked at the statistics and commented "They will have a insane probelm with cooling it's processers and such a powerfull graphics chip" and I was right.

There was a logic in your thought. If you didn't know the statistics of the XBox before saying it would have cooling problems, then it would a thing of probability.

I have no clue what I am doing in my math class and yet I still have a 69.6% (D+, passing)

Your math exams are easy, or you don't have as much no clue as you are thinking. What kind of questions are asked? How is the teaching giving notes (some teachers have a tendency to give points for insignificant things, and you might be doin them)? I would say that you passing this class with more than 80% would be very surprising, but 70% is not an astonishing score so its probable.

I also remember having a dream that something signifigent would happen the night before 9/11

How many dreams about significant things do you have, and how many of them end up to be real? Considering all of us dream hours a day (we don't remember all dreams, once the events happened you probably had a flashback), its not that surprising.

Also, last year I was thinking about how cool it would be if a friend from where I used to live moved up where I live, and then it happened less than a month later (I didn't know it would happen at the time).

Pretty much everyone want their friends to live closer to home. That it happened is not an impossibility. Something similar happened to me.

I have a good one right here :

I knew a nice girl at high school wich I liked a lot, but unfortunately she moved to Montreal to her father's appartement (her mom lived very close to my house, I was surprised when I discovered we were almost neighbors). The year after she moved, I went to New York with school (since I was in an "intensive english" program) and I met her at the border tax free store. We talked a bit, seems she had a school trip too. We both had to depart shortly after so we each went to our buses, I of course was happy to have seen her and surprised, too, since the chances of this happing were incredibly low. But the story's not finished! In my second day in New York, we went to Time Square and our teacher told us to find a restaurant and eat. My friends and I chose some random pizza restaurant (food there was horrible), so we got there and started waiting in the file. Then, incredibly, she entered the very same restaurant.

So she happened to be in New York the same weekend as me. We crossed the border at the same hour. Then we visited and ate at Time Square, the same day, at the same hour, and ate at the same restaurant (god knows theres not only 1 of them there).

I guess this was my lucky week end :)
