That is the pimpest pad i've ever laid my eyes on. "Hey baby, you want to come to my place tonight?"

I think thats hilarious that they are going to be their own island but in some ways I support piracy because if monster companies like EA keep producing games with a strict deadline making them an otherwise poor game (BF2142) when they would be really good. On the other hand smaller companies may not be able to afford a hit in sales due to piracy thus making it a less chance of this company to produce another possible quality release.

"We're never going to stop piracy, so let's allow it!"

"We're never going to stop theft, so let's allow it!"

"We're never going to stop murder, so let's allow it!"

"We're never going to stop rape, so let's allow it!"

What I don't understand about this whole thing is why the first statement is apparently true, but the latter three aren't. If piracy is illegal and should be illegal, then why do people not seem to care if it's enforced?

Because piracy doesn't hurt anybody except the very, very rich.

Ok, pirates, give me the answer to this one:

If you had your way, everyone would pirate everything, yes?

But if everyone pirated everything, there would be no content to pirate.

that is amazingly smart, but I would rather have an island in the south pacific.

It wouldn't be piracy, then.

It would still be piracy, but it wouldn't exist because there would be nothing to pirate.

That's not necessarily true. Right now almost every person with a personal computer is able to pirate copyrighted material, but the industry is anyway succesful.

Not saying that it is morally right, just that the scenarios of impending doom for the poor media-industry are slightly exaggerated :)
