do you think that stem cell research is right? i think in some instances...but what do you have to say about it? i also think that it is wrong in other instance so i'm in the middle
Hehe, you want an "Or" poll. As of now you can vote both ;) I have to say i don't see how anything with the word "research" in it can be wrong, because knowledge and understand can't harm in any case.
By the way, if even you yourself think "in some cases", why didn't you include that in the poll?

well mainly because it's only if they give consent which i think mos people would consent to it since it would help all on this world. and notice i still voted yes :P so the yes outweighs the no

^cure for basically all disease or existence of non developed,non conscious organisms.:clueless:Id choose to help a dying man over a organism that isnt even aware of its own existance
I think curing diseases is a good thing. I support research to find cures for diseases.
I say yes...as long as the cells come from approved sources.
The research benefits outweigh the bad.
The Nazi's did medical research in WW2 that was horrible and disfiguring and resulted in outright deaths and murders. But the results of their research did advance medicine by many many years.
Not saying what they did was in any way right. Im saying that even in the bad something good can come out of it.
I voted no, the only person so far to, because I am so opposed to embryonic stem cell research. I'm undecided on forms of stem cell research that will not require the farming of humans in some way.

I voted no as well as I don't think farming embryos is a good way to do research(by good I mean moreally good, obviously it's effective...) but I do support other forms of stem cell research that don't require embryos, such as adult stem cell research.
Embryonic=no
Everything else=yes.
Creating life just to destroy it is wrong, worse than abortion. But what about the frozen embryos? There are only about 400,000 that will work for stem cells. You will need millions more to get any real results from the research. That means millions of lives are going to be created, and destroyed for little gain.
You can spend you whole life trying to figure out how to grow a flesh and blood heart using stem cells, or you can build a metal and plastic version that will last 100 times longer in a year. I don't get why people want to farm humans to cure a disease, when we can use technology(artifical organs, limbs, and in the future nanobots) to do as well or better than any cure from stem cells.
Stem cell research is probably one of the best things that we can do. If we dont use the embryos, theyre going to be thrown out anyways, so lets put them to some use.
