I have been seeing a lot of talk about this from European people throughtout various forums, from gaming forums to political forums. Also, the same thing is being said from Canadians, and of course the Middle East. The USA is supposedly going to suffer with the rise of the new super power (EU). Am I missing something here? I have been recently seeing a lot of this talk in the last three weeks. Where is the future of the United States? I don't want to sound stupid here and be the only one not knowing what is going on.

Well as we all know, Civilaizations rise, reach a golden age, then fall. Every civilization does this, and it will happen to all, Canada, Russia (although it can be said that their's already occurred), China. It happened to the Roman Empire, with its slow decline after the Pax Romana, then had one good Emperor near the end (one being Constantine the Great). America will one day fall, but not anytime soon in my opinion.

And what about Diocletianus?

Oh and for the time being: the EU is an economic superpower, it does not have a military worth mentioning - yet...

i dont think u.s is in trouble in the near future mainly due to the fact that there is no nation powerful enough to replace it that would create a terrible vacuum

Yea, I don't see us in any serious trouble right now. Guys, the age of civilizations fighting other civilizations is over. It's the modern countries/alliances (US & EU) fighting countryless terrorists.

The troulbe is with terrorism, and islamism. We have to get the terrorists. More importantly we need to open relations with moderate Islamic countries, and aid them. If they have a good government with no corruption, and a stable economy, extremism won't rise. It can't just be occupying countries and trying to install democracy. It's also gotta be aiding them...etc.
