Fitna, while one sided towards negative verses hits true. While you wont find the majority of Christians taking old testament scriptural barbarity to heart you will find that the vocal, young majority of Muslims are quite open about being antisemitic, anti american and in general anti western.

I'm worried about this trend of appeasement towards people who want to curb freedom of speech because they cannot somehow bear hearing about those negative verses in their scripture, nor do they seem able to say anything but "Islam is a peaceful religion!" in defense to criticism, that is if they don't form a angry mob and start chanting "Allah Akbar!".

I've had enough. If these people (yeah you heard me) can't stand a joke regarding any of their beliefs they should get the fuck out of the west. It's that simple. This issue actually gets me worked up enough to do something for a change, and i will once i get the chance.

I completely agree Tas.

The lengths to which governments and public officials will go, to appease Islam sickens me. It's not like the vast majority of these criticisms are being invented from thin air either.

No? I don't think so. They are vocal and the majority? Perhaps I'm missing something but it doesn't seem to fit the oxymoron bill.

I was very disappointed to read about this, but something like it was to be expected the way the situation in the UK has developed.

Fitna is a good film with a strong message, which with the wrong eyes could be seen in a bad way, but in my opinion there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, as far as I can see it points out an unfortunate development without lying or preaching hatred.

I can easily understand why those depicted are upset though, the last they want is the lazy majority to care about what is going on and influence their politicians to do something, or if that is too late, take it into their own hands.

Very much agreed. I'm fortunate enough to live in a corner of Europe where Islam at the moment has no significant influence, but I certainly hope I never will have to wake up to a day where appeasement has reached a level as bad as in certain countries.

I hate to sound like an intolerant idiot, but if there is anything that I can do to stop Islam from taking over the country, I will.

Wilders is a good politician. This does not mean I have the same ideas as him, on certain points I agree with him but on alot of points hes being plain stupid. Though refusing an Dutch citizen entry to the UK is a bad thing. Even if he 'can' be a target of terrorism. Well, we will see how this will develop =p

All I see is Hitler...he's blaming the Muslims.... The reason I posted this was because me and my firend had a massive argument about it....him and so many others here are believing every message and are saying that the majority of Muslims want to kill us when there is at least 1 billion muslims....... I admit certain points I agree but he is stereotyping muslims, saying that they are all terrorists or worse.

Also he called Gordon Brown the "biggest coward in Europe" when really he denied his entry for his own saftey as well as the countries

Safety from whom? The answer of course legitimizes his claims.

I watched the first few minutes and wasn't impressed. Some backwater politician playing on widespread fears to gain popular support doesn't seem so extraordinary. You don't have to look hard to find propaganda videos by Hamas or similar groups with about the same quality.

It is a bit sad how easily people are manipulated by such cheap propaganda though.

Why would you start out by saying this was done by a politician from a "backwater country"? Not I'm not offended that you'd call my country a backwater because it's not all that important. I'm just wondering what does it have to do with the validity of the message?

The application of the term propaganda is also lil iffy, there is no misinformation in this video. These are actual verses from the koran, a book muslims swear by.

It seems you just disagree with the subject of this video and choose to somehow try to invalidate its message by attacking the creator, the message and the audience without actually arguing the point the video is making.
