Word.

Don't you love how secretive Dick Cheney is and how he always lurks in the shadows? ;)

I don't know much about Cheney, except that when Iraq happened, his companies made millions of dollars, or something like that. Also, he is the brains behind everything, Bush is his puppet.

What I've been told anyways. =p

Who is we anyway??? Perhaps those who were to young to remember the cold war??? It didn't disappear in 2001...I have never known an America that didn't do those things. Back then, the media didn't call it pre-emtive warfare, they called it "police action". Geneva Convention violations, human rights violations, and torture all reference the same thing, and it all happend on a larger scale during the cold war then it does today. Spying on their own citizens, leaders preying on fear - has anyone heard of McCarthyism? That's what the cold war was about: control based on fear. That flyer is just propaganda BS.

What a bunch of bullshit. Shit like that just really pisses me off. Yeah, we must live in a huge state of tyranny considering that we can have internet photoshop heroes make such pictures with their freedom of speech.

^Agreed! Another thing... in who's eyes has America ever been "a model of justice"? Americans? The USA has been criticized by the whole rest of the world for everything under the sun for a long time. It's the price of being a superpower.

except you cant stage lawful protest half the time without applying for special protest permits (which incidentally also regulate WHERE you are allowed to protest), You can have the state take your property with little legal protection and half the laws you are subject to are blatant offenses to the Bill of Rights and Constitution (next time you file taxes read at the bottom of the page, its a document stating that it can be used against you in a court of law but as you have no CHOICE but to use said document you are basically being FORCED to possibly self incriminate yourself should the IRS decide what you put on it is 'up for review'). Our country often times disobeys the laws that it claims to uphold and even more times the spirit of them in the first place. Still better than nothing but it CAN use some improvement. a lot of improvement even

Which should be the case anyways because there should be no legal protection for disrupting the affairs of others (like blocking people from going to work).

You can have the state take your property with little legal protection and half the laws you are subject to are blatant offenses to the Bill of Rights and Constitution (next time you file taxes read at the bottom of the page, its a document stating that it can be used against you in a court of law but as you have no CHOICE but to use said document you are basically being FORCED to possibly self incriminate yourself should the IRS decide what you put on it is 'up for review').

I also do not like imminent domain and believe it should be gotten rid of, but income tax is nothing new since the 1800s. Do I think taxes are high? Of course. But compared to the world? Come on.

Our country often times disobeys the laws that it claims to uphold and even more times the spirit of them in the first place. Still better than nothing but it CAN use some improvement. a lot of improvement even

By no means am I saying the system is perfect-it is far from it...BUT it is the best system in the world.
