Whats your opinion on mods and admins in general? do you find them necessary, a bunch of people who abuse power or are they completely useless at all? other comments? I think that mods and admins are necessary although sometimes they have no sense of humour and/or abuse their powers (this applies to forums in general!). We still need them though because otherwise most forums would collapse within weeks. If the people in power know what they are doing and give feedback to other members of staff (and "ordinairy" members) most forums should be run quite good and fair. note: this does not necessarly only applies to Gaming Forums but to forums in general.

I think some are pretty useless people who abuse there power. Some go into threads and give warnings before people actually do anything, which annoys me because they treat the members who are not mods like children, and I am specifically talking about one mod in particular.

Otherwise we need them or else we will have a bunch of idiots flaming everyone for no reason.

May I remind people that this is not the place to flame a certain mod or admin, or complain about a certain mod or admin. If you have had any problems with a certain staff member (), contact the next higher up staff member to talk about your problem. Keep it private!

The ps.com mods are useless. Never talk and edit without need.

Just so any mods in this forum know, I am not talking about any mods who moderate the general forums, but the gaming portion. I am not going to mention names to any admins unless I see him do it again.

JP(NL)bah, I abuse my power from time to time

Don't even start about that, you are evil JP :( . Yes some moderators or admins do abuse thier powers, not only on GF but on all forums. I'm pretty sure that this forum is one with a very low "power abuse rate"incomparison with other forums. I don't like forums where admins/mods get paid for there job, because this forums (most of them are forums owned by some kind of compagnie) tent to A: don't do shit at all, they simply don't care about the forums because its just a small task in their job as website administrator. B: They delete every thread that says something negative about the forum or the compagny that owns them. Both cases are examples of bad moderation, I therefor think that people who admin volunteerly (for free) are often (not always) the best people you can get: these people really care for their forum. thats what i like about GF. edit: @ : Like mentioned before, don't critize members of staff or even "normal" members in public. This things are best to be said in private.
