I think modern movies are starting to get more and more violent, this is affecting today's children. I don't know about the rest of you but when I was kid I only watched good movies with less violence than today's.

I don't know, I don't really notice any difference, but that's just me. Maybe it's because I grew up watching "Rated R" movies and you others didn't and now that you do it just seems like it's getting more violent.

As for porn, yes, it is getting a lot worse.

I'd say pushing the blame of childrens behavior solely on movies and TV-programs is, well, somewhat stupid. Yes, movies can have some impact, but whether it's negative or positive depends on how the child was initially raised up.

art is a reflection of life. as society grows desensitised and nihilistic, so does art.

I don't think DK was referring to porn, but i guess those are the kind of "modern day bloodbath" movies you watch  As for a reply, I guess that movies only change those who allow themselves to be changed. My parents also always made sure I was mature enough to watch a movie above my age limit. The call for increased realism in movies is also a factor to consider. The movie doesn't need to be realistic, people just want realistic ripping and shredding. Although many movies ignore that aswell.... :bows: Obey the holy cow:bows:

Movies can have a profound affect on culture it seems. So can anything media-related.
