"The FBI confirmed it has issued an "intelligence information report" warning of possible Al Qaeda attacks on Los Angeles and Chicago shopping malls over the holiday season." -FOXNews.com

Source: FOXNews.com - FBI: Al Qaeda Eyeing Mall Attacks Over Holidays - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News

Disturbing, to say the least. I'm curious to know how this will play out in the media, especially if something does happen. I'm sure there's going to be a loud echo of 'WOLF' for the next couple of months.

Thoughts?

I'll believe it on a different network. Fox News is notorious for telling lies or fluffing the truth to make a better sounding story.

Hah! My ass they are. -Rhetoric out of the way.

Show me evidence of FOX presenting lies. I've watched CNN, MSNBC, and I've listened to countless freelance radio stations. Nothing surmounts to FOX's superiority.

I've seen far too many anchors on CNN manipulate the stories to no end. I, on the other hand, have never come across a biased article.

By the way. FBI warns of uncorroborated threat to malls - CNN.com

GG.

Let me see if I can dig up the story where Fox News won a case to be able to lie to the viewers as being protected by the first amendment.

The Media Can Legally Lie There's one page of the ruling.

Project Censored Media Democracy in Action There's another to back up the ruling so there is less chance of skepticism since I was called out to prove it.

pretty much. They're just a propaganda tool anymore. To me their a tv version of the supermarket tabloids. I wouldn't be surprised if they report that "Alien Nazi's land in Isreal to recruit Catholics!" or some other complete nonsense.

I don't trust any of the corrupt radical media. Out of all of them, FOX is the best, but none of them are why I would call "real journalists"

n0e, I would simply ask that you don't make claims or accusations against a credible news source that I prefer to use. Why? Because you don't have any real evidence that they've ever lied -or- spun any story.

You can think what you please, but the producers behind FOX, the one's who actually had a part in the case that you're talking about, have nothing to do with the legitamicy of the media presented. There's no denying the press is just another business, but FOX is certainly not radical nor are they pervasive.

You're a high-ranking staff member of this community, and I personally don't feel you have the right to discredit anything without any evidence. By doing so, you weaken my ability to debate.

Request aside...

I showed you an article from CNN.com just to prove the story.

Now, what say you?

Staff have a disclaimer against this argument in their signatures; our personal opinions are simply that. Besides, the way I see it n0e gave some excellent evidence by linking to this case. It doesn't get any better than this, if you ask me.

But maybe we should say "manipulate" instead of "lie", as that is what media usually try to do. Of course spreading half-truths or outright nonsense is often part of that process.

I have never known FOX to manipulate anything. My point in saying that n0e is a high-ranking staff member is that the rest of the community looks at him as an example of how to act on the forum.
