Well first off i'd like to say thank you. Thanks to the Democrates and the Republicans for sending this country into a spiraling pile of sh*t. I don't think many people could have done it better, infact I feel the people of this country have been left behind long enough. Let alone all the lies our current and previous leaders tell everyday, and also these same leaders ignore the majority of the countrys views, feelings, and the issues we deem important. America TAKE A STAND. Please stop handing positions of power to the people who don't care about you. This is OUR country, not the rich white mans. So why every election do we forget about all the wrong the major political parties do to the people and our great nation. We need start exercising more of the rights our four fathers laid down for us, the most important being the peoples right to IMPEACH. There is no reason to let a failing politician to hold thier position in office. The greatest right is to vote and not just sit at home when it seems the 2 major canidates inadaquit for the job, this country has many other political parties (do a google search on third partys to find all of them, there are many), but of course they may not have a very qualified candidate for even the lowest position possible. The truth is this is not always the case. Many candidates representing the smaller parties are often better suited to represent YOU. You do not hear of the parties or the candidates though, because they dont have investments in the Big Corporations that fund all of the major parties politics and elections. The last time I checked less than 1% of america owns a corporation. This just does not make sense to continually give a vote to politicians who gain profits and election funds depending on how well they represent those companys while in office. So America come next november help yourself and others by backing someone who better represents you and your beliefs, after all that is Democracy. Many people also don't know that if a third party receives 5% of the national votes that party becomes a major political party, and just so you know Canada has 5 major political parties.

Very well said.

People should be made aware of EVERY party that is running. They should know what they are about and then they will be making a better choice.

Also, the companys need to be taken out of politics.

Too bad they won't, all the Democrats and Republicans will throw a major hissy-fit if anyone tries to. And the reason no one votes for third party candidates is because they believe that no one else will vote for them as well. Most people do not like to throw their vote away, so they usually choose who they percieve to be the lesser of the two evils. Its kind of sad, really...

Well said. Corporations/Big Business have no place in elections, and still its in the form of massive donations to the Republican and Democrat parties in America. Again, very well said. People should always look to the alternatives, and shouldnt be confined to only two choices.

CyBeR_pUnKSo America come next november help yourself and others by backing someone who better represents you and your beliefs, after all that is Democracy. Many people also don't know that if a third party receives 5% of the national votes that party becomes a major political party, and just so you know Canada has 5 major political parties.

As an update on Canadian politics, we have 4 major parties. Two of the major parties merged [the Canadian Alliance and the Progressive Conservatives, together they are the Conservative Party]. The other 3 major parties being the Bloc Quebecois, NDP [New Democrats Party] and the Liberal Party. I didnt want to include the Green Party on that, although they have 5% of the vote, they did not win a seat in this year's election. Then we have slew of other smaller parties, Marijuana Party, Marxist-Leninist Party, Communist Party, etc.

Thank you Davethefo, Colonel_bob, Octovon, for the support i'm glad to see there are free thinkers still roam'n around. People are so brain washed nowadays its sad. Octovon thanks for canada's political update I should have looked that up first. I think the green party deserve at least 5% but I also think they have enough good fundementals to obtain a seat both in canada and america.

Americans plz don't waste your time with Bush or Kerry, niether is less evil than the other. Which really is the reason for the early morning rant.:flag:

Not a prob, I always like to talk about my country. I like the Green Party, but they're far left [but not as left as the Marxist-Leninist Party], they're expected to get a seat in the next election in 2008 [or sooner, depends on the situation with our minority government]. Personnaly I stick to the Centre-Left of Canadian politics, usually the Liberal Party or NDP. The Conservative Party is pretty much Western Canada, while the East Coast is mostly Liberal, NDP and the Bloc [who are only in Quebec].

The real only politicial solution is to dump religion. Its what makes this country suck, we could right now be curing cancer if it weren't for the dip shits that think a fetis without a nervous system is a child. And about political partys, I don't see how people can automatically assume that they believe in everything that one person believes in and then say they belong to the democrats or republicans. The presidential system because of the partys is currupt, thus proving that our forefathers that never went to school had more intelligence then us.

Religion by itself is not an evil by anymeans what so ever and is a definite good in my opinion however extremist fanatics of any religion can cause serious problems, be they condemning those who view differently than them to Hell and trying to stop equal rights due to their religious beliefs or bombing. However someone who has Religion but isn't a complete and utter fanatic is perfectly fine and is overall very good. I think that if we get rid of Religion it would cause a serious uproar and would never succeed, however I also think they're should be a definate seperation of Church and State.
