So a few years ago I was riding a train in Europe when while we pass a poster, and I overhear someone saying to their friend on board: "The only thing the United States doesn't have... naked women."
I was wondering how can people in Europe can be so ignorant about things in the US. The US has lots of naked women! I have come to the conclusion that we need to inform people in Europe that there are naked women in the US, to promote immigration for naked women.

Feel free to move this to spam, I just felt like pointing out it's surprising how much people don't know about the US.
the editor isn't working so I'll make this a separate post...
I think that the topic goes for intelligent discussion, as long as we don't get carried away.
What does your origin have that is (incorrect) common knowledge about the US?

I think their point is that we in the states have a very conservative approach to nudity and, if that's the case, then I'd have to agree, to a point. For a very long time, the media - namely Hollywood - has been strangled by right-wing groups ranging from churches and concerned parents to lobby groups. Of course, these lovely people seem to have little to no problem with letting their children be exposed to graphic violence whereas sex and bad language are tantamount to crimes against the state.
In truth, however, there are plenty of citizens who don't take such an uptight stance. Part of the LGBTQ movement revolves around sexual freedom and your right to control over your own body, and the same goes for women involved in upholding Roe v. Wade. Compared to Europe though, yeah, I imagine we seem pretty repressed.

As someone who identifies as Conservative I never understood the big deal with nudity.
A pair of tits is shown and everyone loses their damn mind completely ignoring the fact that they most likely spent a good portion of the beginning of their lives sucking on them.

I think as the generation gap closes (IE, the older generation passes on) that things which were once considered taboo will no longer cause such outrage as they do now.
