As we all know, Bin Laden is shrinking in importance as his #2 man Zarquwi carrys out attacks almost every day. Earlier this year Bin Laden said he was readying new attacks on the US, and I don't find that hard to belive. Bin Laden is the kind of person who will only do the best (People think he is a very good terrorist after 9/11, he wouldn't wanna look like an average one by doing something like a carbombing or something). Also, some dates that Al Quadia would love to have remembered are coming up: Mossuai's punishment, 6/6/6 (Bin Laden attacked on 9/11 which is an emergency line in the US, could attack on 6/6/6 because it means evil), the 5th aniversary of 9/11, etc.

So do you guys think that ANY terrorist attack on the US homeland will be carried out by the end of this year by either Bin Laden or Zarquwi? I mean the UK got attacked last year and they are the most secure nation in the world (In terms of # of cameras), so I think they could easily get into the US, even carry out an attack if they wanted. It took them only like 3 years to come up wtih 9/11 (Of course they did have more resources then) but they had 5 years to come up with something since then (And they have had many more plans to attack us foiled since then).

Doesn't he, like, make threats on an annual basis now or something? He's like an old man threatening to thwack children who run on his lawn...

Well Bin Laden has been activly trying to attack the US since 9/11 but all the plots have either been prevented or called off. However Zarquwi has been carrying out attacks all over the world and I think he was the one who carried out the UK subway attacks. The thing is that you have two very skilled terrorist in one orginzation, Bin Laden (One super deadly attack) and Zarquwi (Many attacks that kill a few people but a few that kill many people). Either one is threat by themselves, but together...

Bin Laden has made multiple threats against the US every year since 9/11. So far nothing has come of them, and I don't see why this year should be different. I think it's no more or less likely to happen than ever. You can be sure they're recruiting, though.

Well, either way, I don't think Bin Laden has long left in this world, especially the way he must be living at the moment. The United States Military is insignificant compared to the raw destructive power wielded by time...

Of course, that won't look great on Bush's portfolio, but it wouldn't exactly be the first blemish.

If Bin Laden ever planned to attack US, I don't think anybody would see it in a forum (Unless someone in this forum claims to know it and even if, I would not believe it just because he says it), so I won't vote in the poll. However, if the answer was yes, a good question would be: why there are so far no action taken to prevent him to do so?

He's creating a bunch of hype that's unfortunately doing more harm than probably another attack would. In a way I almost think another attack would be good for us.

Why would Bin Laden want to keep on lieing to the world about an attack? I mean it's like the boy who cried wolf, if you say it too many times people will just ignore you.

In a way I almost think another attack would be good for us.

It would be great for my area of the country, DC was the only city that actually benifited from the attacks. After the attacks all of these defense contracters, politicans, etc. moved here and since then the region has become so crowed that you have to PLAN A TRIP TO THE STORE 5 MILES AWAY!!! If we get attacked again our butiful captial will be reduced to a reinforced concrete bunker lined with barbed wire, wiretaps, aircraft patrols, and other things. Oh wait, that's how it is now.

if we sent more troops to afghanastan maybe the threat would go away faster. and people wouldnt join the al queda because of their family being killed or something because most of the fighting happens in the hills.
